Waited a few seconds and said "hello" 3 times, heard a ring tone (as if I was initiating the call), so hung up.

A foreign speaking man said he was with Walmart-he said he had a terrific offer for me-then I couldn't understand him-I replied "What are you talking about?"  And he hung up.....

called me. Couldnt understand the guy, thick accent. I hung up on him.

They wanted access to my computer.  They presented themselves as Microsoft techicians, claiming that I had downloaded malware by going to the Microsoft web pages, and they were going to help me get rid of...yeah, I beliieve that.  also did not speak very good english, lots of noise in the background, another scam operation.

I had call from same guy with thick accent telling me he was from Microsoft asking to access my computer to get rid of an immediate infection in my computer i told him i was not home and to call me back so i looked up his number on google and found this forum DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!!

Call my hearing impaired answering service did not leave message.  There seems to be a number of these operations recently.

they call and I answer in Russian, German, Hebrew or some other. I never seem to get a reply.

caller that called keeps hanging up...i want it stoped....get a life who ever you are....idiot.

08/30/2012 foreign fmale states with anti hacking co...sotak monte....said i had a license with her...asked her what that lic# was and she disconnected ... filed this complaint with the ftc (along with many others) we have enough home grown terrorists here...we don't need foreign countries hacking our computers and stealing our identities...am i wasting my time filing all these complaints?????

I. Wish I knew this 6 mouth ago this guy kept telling my comp . Was messed up and that they would fix it  for $199.00 did that and 3 days later get a another call telling me that that was a scale
And he could. Fix it for $299.00 and he was coo.g to fit and that if I ever have a problems to call this number he gave me bewween them messing up my bank acct. And pay pal acct. Had to close both acct. And start all over again but pay pal gave me my money back  now they are doing it again but they are not saying anything  these people need to be put away. With all the new things they can do why can't they get these people. I will not be falling for that again.

Have no  idea who this is....need them to stop calling us.

Have been called twice at my office, they start by claiming there are issues with my computer, I get very forward and demanding with them and they hang up.One time they called my assistant and when she said she was getting the office manager they hung up on her. SCAM ARTISTS!!

Just to let you all know I got the call from that same number, thank good I cam here first to make sure of who it was. I got the call at 3:19pm PST(Pacific Standard Time).

Got a call, nothing. Called it back and it was invalid.

A man called and I could barely understand his thick accent.  He told me my computer was infected and that I had an account with them and they could fix it.  I won't be answering the phone again when I see 125-382-0308.

Stupid guy with a terrible accent middle east.
Taking about microsoft, he calls from 3 different phone numbers.

With this particular number yes you are wasting your time because it is a spoofed number with an invalid area code so the FTC can do nothing about it.

THIS IS A SCAM. Read about the your-PC-is-infected-corrupted scam here http://news.softpedia.com/news/Cold-Call-Tech ... on-150170.shtml They lie about your PC sending out malware, error messages, etc., and say your PC is about to crash to frighten you into giving them remote control of your PC to fix the nonexistent problem (don't let them!). If they ask you to open the systems tab in eventvwr.msc to see all the errors, these harmless errors are *normal* for any Windows PC (mine has several and it runs just fine). Don't let them take control of your PC because they can download *real* malware, possibly a malware suite, that can spam, steal bank logins and personal info, etc. If they've remoted into your PC, the safest fix is to re-format your drive and re-install your OS assuming you have clean backups of your data. You can try scanning with various antivirus software but scanning may not find all the malware. If you don't know how, get help from friends or pay a local shop to do it. THIS IS A SCAM.
It is especially dangerous now because criminals are actively attacking unpatched Java security holes so don't let anyone into your PCs.
