    No this isn't a scam, my friend has left our work and she is owe the bank money, they are trying to get their money off her.

    This is indeed a scam, the caller pretends to be from Lloyds TSB, then asks for your date of birth etc  before proceeding, when asked if this was some kind of scam, he hung up.
