Got a recorded message stating that I could win a 3D TV by just answering a simple question. As soon as I hung up I got an SMS for the same thing.

me too, most annoying -  wonder how they got the number...

Does anyone know who they are?  This has cost me (and obviously all of you) $6 to receive their first unsolicited text and then for me to send STOP.  We should all invoice them to recoup this money.  Any ideas about how to do this?

I suggest calling your phone service provider, describe the problem (130 is an invalid area code for starters), bring their attention to this 800notes page and ask for your money back. Also ask your service provider to cut off the [***] from their billing systems for committing fraud. There is a small but non-zero chance that you might have unsuspectingly signed up for this in the fine print of some transaction. Did you recently get a coupon, a gift card, a payday loan, etc.? There is a scam where you agree to bs.e billed for difficult-to-cancel, negative-option monthly charges for stupid crap in the fine print. In your case, you may have agreed to pay for texts.
