Caller asked about Dell Computer

Said he was calling from Windows customer service and my computer has been sending problem reports for the past two weeks since I installed Windows 10.   I knew it was a scam when he asked for a credit card.   I told him I was going to hang up and he said he would shut down my computer if I hung up.   I hung up and the computer screen went black and I cannot it.   When I turn it on it says I need a password to open it.

this guys said his name is roger (probably fake name because he had indian accent), called for error on computer. its a scam

Said "Hello" 3 times. No answer.

He called and said he was from Windows...so I knew it was a scam.  I let him talk...said my windows computer was showing errors and he wanted to connect to it.  I told that would be a little hard to do since my computer was in the shop and he hung up on me...the little jerk.

Microsoft has said if they need to call someone about a problem, it would be them calling....I would ask for a call back number if they called.

I, too, felt a scam, when the first caller's Indian accent was so thick I could barely understand him.  Since I have had a rash of calls regarding 'my computer being being hacked' I merely suggested that he go back to India and hung up.  The phone rang back from a very angry 'Microsoft supervisor' asking if I had told his employee to go back to India.  I said I had and he went off on rant about how they were merely trying to help me.  I gave the phone to my husband and he asked to speak to me again because he couldn't understand him.  I then asked for a name and phone number so that I could verify who he was.  "YOU DON'T TRUST ME????"  I told him "No" and he really got mad saying that he would shut my computer down (by this time he was screaming) and I would never be able to use it again!!  As I hung up, I could hear him yelling,"YOU'LL REGRET THIS!!!!!"  Pretty entertaining for a Friday morning!!!😆

"I merely suggested that he go back to India"  He is already there.  That is the crime capital of the world right now, between the IRS scam and the Microsoft scams, they have it all sewn up.

Caller did not press required digits to complete the call. Probable robodialer.
Thanks to those who identified the call as a  fake tech support scammer.

The caller said he was from Microsoft and that my computer has been hacked...I told him, "oh yeah, that's a good one" and then hung up.

Called at 7:35 am - told they were showing problems with my computer.  Do people really fall for these scams.

Same old, same old nonsense.  Indian accented fool calling from Windows tech support and wanted to speak to the primary user of the computer.  I state that I don't have a computer and he still wants to speak to the primary user.  Won't say what I called him before I hung up!  Morons, all.  They have called twice from this same number and do not comprehend (there's a surprise) when I say that I don't own a computer.  Get a life and get a real job!!  I'm old, not stupid and not falling for this crap.  Think I'll start answering the phone in French and have a grand time messing with them!!  LOL

I told him I don't have a WIndows computer and I only use Linux.  His angry reply was:  "Well you need to buy a Windows computer!".  Then he hung up on me.  Too funny!
