Caller says they are calling from Microsoft, says they detected illegal activity on your computer, want you to type what seems like a IP address so their expert in China can help you fix the problem in your computer.  They also ask for your credit card information so they can help you "protect" your computer........  Ha! Stupid guys.....

Yep, they claim to be the office from windows, attempt to get you to type something.  I hung up after he told me to "turn my computer on", despite having just been told that they were detecting an error from my computer on their local server.  BS.

Got a call from 163 228 1497 & the guy was a foreigner telling me that I was having trouble with my computer & he needed to fix it.  When asked for his name his answer was muffled, finally said he was with Microsoft but wouldn't give their number telling me that the line was always busy, busy, busy, & my computer needed fixing. Told him that he was a scammer which he denied.  We went back & forth for a bit with that & I told him that I would take care of my own computer problems, if I had one.  He told me that I only had 35 minutes left on my computer & it it crashed, it was my fault & not theirs.  I told him it was no big deal & I'd get it taken care of.  Finally hing up on him.  BUT with my spouse standing at my elbow telling me to hang up, I forgot to play my Ace of Spades by telling him that the FBI & FCC are listening in & tracing the call!  That usually stops the scam calls for awhile.!!!!

Don't waste your time complaining about spammers. The phone companies charge the spammers. That is why phone companies do nothing when we complain. They know who calls and who gets called. They have the records. They should pay us for each call. Quit worrying about spammers and require phone companies to pay part of what they get paid to provide spammers with services. Do you think they are doing it for free? Spammers pay phone companies. They should pay us.

Caller with strong accent, stated he was Microsoft engineer and my computer was generating numerous errors.  I asked which computer ?  That I needed the I.P. address to put a sniffer on it to see what errors where being detected.  I explained I had 14 servers, 2 routers and 3 hubs.   He hung up.........OH My !

Wow.  This caller, who identified himself as Victor, and was calling about my computer, used obscene and profane language with me when I challenged him.  I am horrified.
