I answered the phone and heard nothing.  I said hello a couple of times and waited ... after silence a recorded voice said "good-bye" and disconnected.

Answered phone but no one was on the other end...after a few seconds they hung up

answered the phone was a scam involving my computer supposedly downloading malware, I suggested they not call back anymore, they hung up when I said I was a computer tech obviously a scam

Just received a call today from this number!!!! They said I had malicious files on my computer.. and wanted me to log into my computer and follow their instructions.. i said if there is something wrong with it I will bring it to my local shop! Then they hang up in my ear.

I just received a call from this number.  When the caller said he wanted to talk about my computer I immediately hung up.
The number showed up on my phone but also another number V1211926590015. Argh!!

Same scam as described in other messages. When I commented that the caller knowing what was on my computer was an invasion of privacy, he started to make what sounded like mocking sounds and then he hung up. I had wanted to get around to the moral issues of what he was doing but never got the chance.

You might as well try to engage a brick in a discussion of the finer points that distinguish Brahms symphonies from those of Dvorak.  Neither the brick nor your caller will get any of it, but at least the brick will sit still and not insult you for trying.

I too just received a call regarding my computer.   He knew my last name, but then again my landline is listed.  He claimed that there was a problem with my computer and that he could fix it.  I hung up after offering him a few choice words.

Same exact thing just happened to me...creeps!

got a call from this number but it started with 6-173-250-2657 caller id says v22uu131350015

I am at work. My wife just phoned. Someone using this number told her our computer was having problems (virus/malware) and she needed to go to the computer and follow his instructions. She said would wait till I got home. The caller pressed the issue, but my wife refused to listen and he finally hung up.

Just got the same number calling me said it was from my computers tech department. I told her nope I have no tech department she said ok and hung up. 173-250-2657
V2232317190015 looks like a vonage calling number

Someone with foreign accent wanted me to sign on to my computer as it was downloading malicious files. He said he would help me take care of it. Have received this call more than once and they have also said it was Windows Support.
