I just had 2 this afternoon. I looked it up on Google--and the only site I found was in Russian. No, I didn't actually go to the site.

It is now blocked.

The lady had an Asian accent and told me my Windows was emitting error messages. She wanted me to turn on my computer. I asked where she was from and she said Illinois. (Riiiight!) Just like the Coneheads are from Remolac, a small town in France. Her manner of speech was stilted and repetitive like she was reading. I told her I was busy and not to call back. Don't remember what company she claimed to be with.

I got 4 calls in 2 hours today, it was so annoying. I did not recognize this number so I didn't  pick it up, did not leave any message.

these calls started last evening--Sunday--and woke me up this morning. So far, there have been three. I have not answered any of them.

I've had three calls today from this number.  Now that I have seen your comments I am going to answer and tell them I'm recording them, see if they keep calling!

Called me today at 6:50 pm. Said they were calling because I owed on a computer bill. Very heavy accent, hard to hear. Hung up since I have no computer bill, whatever that meant.

Called twice in 30 min no response when I answered.

I received a call from 173-881-2048 this morning.  I didn't have on my glasses so I wasn't able to read the caller ID.  If I had, I wouldn't have answered my landline.  The man said he was with Microsoft and he was calling about my computer, to which I said that I didn't have a computer and hung up.  The Microsoft calls have been coming in a little too much lately.

Glad I googled this.  I see that I'm not the only one that has received these annoying calls.  Have gotten the "Microsoft there's something wrong with your computer" calls in the past.  It must work on some people or they wouldn't keep doing it.
