I JUST got a call. It is comcast calling you. The call tells you to call that number and tells you the last digit you need to dial. I have been trying to figure out what the last digit is

I just got a call and the automated voice said "please stay on the line someone is trying to reach you" then after about 30 seconds the voice said"sorry but I'm able to connect" then hung up.

just received a call.. i simply ignored it since it was an unknown number plus i kno i havent handed out my housephone.. only ppl who would kno would be my husband n of course comcast..

This person or group of persons continue to call at all times of day and night. They mention someones name, I guess to see if they have guessed correctly to whom they have reached. I have tried unsuccessfully to investigate through zip codes and area codes, and they state this not a North American area code.

I don't pick up if I don't recognize a number calling in. But I receive calls from this # on average 2x a wk.

Recorded message "Comcast needs to speak with you about something important, please call #". I didn't write the number down and when I called Comcast customer support using phone number from their website they knew nothing about it but seemed very interested in what the message said. I said I would write down the number if they called again and report it to Comcast.  I think it's a scam because Comcast has never used an automated system to contact me about anything, if they ever do call (which is rarely) I get a live person.  Very strange.

Just got a call from this # on my cell phone.  Caller did not leave msg.  I do not answer calls from strange numbers.  Interesting other ppl state this is a scam.  I will not answer any calls such as this, now or in the future.

This is Comcast calling about your account, if you are even slightly late paying your bill you can get a call from this number. No worries.....

REceived a call from this number yesterday and now today. Called the number back and received an "Invalid Number" message.  If it were Comcast, or anyone else our company policy is to not accept long-distance calles, calls that are marked "unknown", or the city, or the phone number, or where the Caller Id had been blocked. Tooooooooooooooooooo!!!! Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!!! Soooooooooooooo! Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad! Probably some wealthy Nigerian Banker attempting to give me some bazillion dollars that I am owed. Just needs me to send him money. Not!!!!!!!!!!!

These guys have called me  couple time now, once i answered and an automated voice said 'we are calling on behalf of your cable tv or internet provider' and then the line went dead. freaking weird. they called me again and left a message, with a real human speaking this time, but my answering machine only picked up halfway thru the call for some reason.

I been receiving calls from this number. I never answer it, I don't like the number that shows . . . . .  It just ain't right.  I'm going to contact my telephone provider to see if it can be blocked.

Just because they say they are Comcast, doesn't mean they are. Just because you call their call back number and they claim to be Comcast, doesn't mean they are. They are NOT Comcast. They are Scammers. Call the real Comcast number 1-800-Comcast, if you get one of these calls. They'll tell you it's not legit.

BTW, why is there not a "Call Type" of "Scam" in the drop-down box when reporting these calls? It would certainly help to identify the bad guys.
