I too am in Toronto and get called from this number - no message left...I think it's Bell Canada doing a free cell phone promotion. I just block them using *60.

I live in Toronto and don't know anyone living in the Carrebean area.  Didn't bother answering and no message was left.   This is an obvious scam.

they called my house and i picked up no answer . it is a scam don't pick up the phone

Don't know who these people are...this is not even a real area code.

The guy called himself George and said he was from a duct cleaning service. I didn't let him get farther than that.

They have called twice, both times no response when we picked up.

they have called me twice too. the first time though they asked for Mr. Maclean and i told them they had the wrong number. and then they just called me again and i picked up and they just didnt say anything.

They called me many times a week.  I just didn't answer.

199-242-0745 called a few times a week and it usually rings three times and hanged up.  I usually don't answer phone numbers that I don't know.  Once I picked up and there's no sound from the other end.

I received at 4pm (1600 hours) EDT today (Sat. June 19) on my cellphone a call that displayed as +1992420745. According to the usual interpretation of phone numbers, this call came from area code 992 within the NANPA. According to the sources I checked, there is no area code 992. The rest of the number is six digits only, not the obligatory seven for NANPA numbers. I have no idea who the caller was, as I don't answer calls from fishy-looking numbers. The caller did not deign to leave a message. Smells like spoofed caller ID to me. Answers.com reveals that pseudo area code 992 may be used for calls from outside North America; here is a quote from the post: "It's also an area code that is used by OffShore [sic] contract companies in countries such as India, for their workers to be able to have a US phone number. That way, they don't have to pay International rates on the calls...". BTW, country code (as opposed to area code) 992 belongs to Tajikistan, a part of the world from which I don't ever expect to receive a legitimate call. This is not the first call I have received from this or a similar number, but the previous call(s) had rolled off my phone's incoming-call list.

Incoming call 199-242-0745  on Jun 22 and Jun 23.  No message left on Jun 22.  No person on other end on Jun 23.

They call so often and never leave a message.  In the past they offered different services from duct cleaning to bell telephone service.

Obvious scam...just stay away

I keep getting calls from these idiots and I have now resolved to respond with a loud F%&* OFF next time they introduce themselves!!!
