Called and said they were asked to call and perform surveys on behalf of Microsoft Certified Technicians. They first spoke to my mother and explained that they were calling because a lot of people were experiencing issues with Windows Operating Systems, particularly with malware. My mother told the lady that she wasn't having any issues with her pc. The lady then proceeded to ask if she could "check it out". At this point my mom got suspicious and asked me to speak to the lady. I asked the lady where she got my name and number, she said she got it from Microsoft Certified Technicians and they were conducting a survey. I explained to the lady that I am very concerned because I have never registered a microsoft product in my life and so they should not be calling me. I explained that I use custom made linux based operating systems because Microsoft operating systems do indeed have the problems that the lady mentioned. When I proceeded to ask the lady where she got my name and number she said she got it from microsoft certified technicians. I asked where they would've got the info. The lady said she didn't know. When I asked her for her name and the name of the company she is working for she said something that wasn't clear (making her accent thicker and talker faster while mumbling). When I asked her to repeat the information slowly and clearly so I can write it down she hung up. I expressed a very high level of concern over her access to my info but she would only say "no problem" and that she would remove the number from the list. Thats great but that doesn't mean that it's going to stop other people from possibly being scammed. If these people are connecting to people's computers they could steal all kinds of information for just about any purpose.

This number is creeping me out they call like once a week and when I say hello a womans voice replies with goodbye.... And then hangs up

Woman's voice after pause just says goodbye and disconnects - invalid area code and number probably bogus too.

Scam artsists mumbles something about from some company, then said , we notice you are using Microsoft operating system..i said, yeah maybe, then he said, in east Indian call center accent and atmosphere,we are noticing errors on your Windows operating system.as certified technicians . please check your computer , and "give me the following information", I said its impossible for you to know if i have errors on my system, never call here again or ill all the police..and hung up.

Got another call from the 200-982-3420 number, they usually call and hang up but there was someone on today.  The same story was told to me about them being a sister Company of Microsoft, and that they got an error message for one of our computers.  The first thing I asked was the name of the caller, he said his name was Nicolas.  I can clearly hear the heavy Indian accent in his voice and struggle for vocabulary words.  I then asked him for the last name and he said his last name was Morris.  Somehow I doubt that his real name was Nicolas Morris, lol.  I did not see a point to take the conversation further than that.

I told him that the number he was calling was added to the national do not call list, and regardless what country he is calling from, it is harassment.  I also asked to have us removed from their internall call list.  He said sorry and confirmed that we will be removed from the list.

Same thing "Goodbye" then hangs up.

they call and said they would repair my computer from their office at microsoft....seems to much like a lot of bull.......I hung up !!

have had several calls in past few weeks, when we answer a woman's voice (probably a recording) says 'Goodbye" & hangs up. Unnerving to my wife. We are registered on Canadian Do Not Call list but somehow I don't think these people really care!

I live in montreal and I got a phone call about 5 mins ago...I answer and a creepy womens voice says''GOODBYE'' but dosen't hang up I waited about 10 secs after and still nobody talks so I hung up...Very creepy indeed y call if it's just to say ''GOODBYE''

Montreal area : They called me and said he was from microsoft and said I got an error with it. I said i'm using a mac. Obviously he was confused, when I asked for his name he mumbled something I couldn't figure out. I said F**k you and hung up. Looks like a scam indeed.

This number calls and says goodbye

Received a call from a close cousin of this number. Call display (in name and number field) showed "0112009823420". I didn't answer because I never answer numbers I don't recognize. No message left. Judging by the other entries on this number, it might have been fun to answer this time, just to mess with the caller. ;-)

Same here...woman's voice just says <Good-Bye<...I was unnerved till I read some of yr comments.  Thanks for calming me down

Some company telling me I have a computer running the "windoze" OS by "MegaSH^T".
Oh boy are they so f'ing wrong!!!
Reported from my telephone to the *57 so it is traced and can be reported if it happens again.
By the way I am on the Do Not Call listing, but that seems to mean nothing to the tele-[***]!!!

yeah, same thing here ... I say hello, creepy recorded voice says goodbye. Someday, I'll find these people and mess them up but good.
