This number called federal agency.  Woman with Indian accent said she wanted to sell me a demo from Dell case.  I told her she could not call a federal agency with a sales call like that but she kept asking me if she could give me a demo of the Dell case.  I put the phone down on the desk and let her talk to the air until the line was disconnected at her end.

Called and told me that I had a Microsoft Windows XP machine that had been trying to connect to a port on one of their servers for two weeks now. Started telling me that this could cause my machine to crash so I asked what port number I was supposedly hitting and that I'd run a network trace at my end to confirm.... they hung up at that point. Strong Indian accent and bloody awful English. Called the number back - it's disconnected, so presumably they are spoofing their caller id.

Foreign man called 7/3/10 and wanted to know what kind of computer I had.  He then was telling me that Microsoft was offering me some technical assistance free for 1 month for $9.99.  If it's free, then it doesn't cost $9.99.  I kept telling him that I wasn't interested and we were on the do not call list.  Says he wasn't trying to sell me anything he was giving it to me for $9.99

Got the same call today.  Right out of the shoot I asked them if, "I had stupid written on my forehead?"  A few stupid remarks and I told them, oops!  I guess you could say I yelled.  "GET THE [***] OFF MY PHONE.  The good news...no more phone calls.  Don't mess with a fraud investigator.  My question is; if we know this; is the telephone company responsible?  After all, the number is a "land line."  Ever hear of "Implied Consent?"  I think we should do a class action suit on the telephone company.  ...and maybe drag in the attorney general in New Jersey.  Took me 1 minute to locate these jerks!  so...what's the problem?   Any comments?

    Caller ID: New Jersey

They called on July 7th but I'm just posting it now. Only called once here.
I did not answer. If I did, I would have them explain to me first what "Windoze" is, because we run Linux here, heh.

Got 3 calls today. Each call started with music. Then a vile ill spoken person from India (?) tells me he wants to fix my Gateway computer (never owned one). Another rep called to sell me software. Why can't the genius at the FCC figure out how to put an end to this land line abuse and fake caller id nos? And who in their right mind would deal with these frauds? Very annoying.

I got the same call as Lj2008tx, once today and once two Saturdays ago. I won $200 shopping spree being offer by the Walmart SuperCenter and a $200 gas card. All I had to do was pay shipping and handling to the postal worker when it was delivered. However, they needed my credit card # to confirm who I was. After I toyed with him a while, he cursed me out. It was kind of humorus.
Today after they told me I won, I very excitedly thanked them and hung up before they could ask for anything from me.

This number showed up 201-200-9999 on my cell phone. I did not answer the call but when I tried to call the number back it said the number was disconnected or vo longer in service. How aggravating can this be? Probably some telemarketer or scam.

I received a call from 201-200-9999. Man spoke with an Indian accent. Saying that Microsoft had detected that my computer had a virus. I was pretty sceptical and asked him several questions. I followed a long for a few minutes but my grandson started crying. He wanted to know when he could call back because he really wanted to help me fix the problems.
He walked me through a couple things and I was questioning him on who he was and how he got my number etc etc. He took me to a website as his credentials. www.techisonline.com. I said how do I know you are a representative from this site. He said I understand, I would not do you wrong.
Anyway, I was pretty sure it was a scam. Was wandering if anyone else was getting this call too.
