I called Steve Miller back and he tried to sell me financial planning and assistance. Don't waste your time calling him
Unfortunately my cell phone number is the same but my area code is somewhat different and since either Steve Miller does not leave a clear message or we have a bunch of dyslexic people in the US, I am the one who receives lots of calls from all over the country on my cell phone. This guy needs to be found!
I received a VM from 201-204-0022on my work phone on 1/4/08 but male voice didn't leave a name. Decided to google the number and found this website. Don't plan on returning the call. I'm not so sure it is a collection agent, I don't owe anyone anything. I did notice that he seems to be making calls to various states. I am located in Houston, TX.
got the same message as noted above "This is Steve Miller; if you can return the phone call, my number is 201 204 0022. Again, that number is 201 204 0022. Thanks." on my work phone # 01/24
Glad you have this posting. I won't return his call.
I also got a call at my work number from Steve Miller on 1/25 asking to call back at 201-204-0022 on 12/24. Did not ask for me by name and did not say what he was calling about. You would think this would be an incredible waste of his time, whoever he is. These calls are to all over the country and all work phones, right?
I had a voicemail on my work phone (Princeton, NJ) from this number left on 12/26 at 8:08am. It was the same message everyone else got, "This is Steve Miller, if you could return my phone call...". so I Googled the number to see if that was the case and I found this site.
We just got an internal company email warning us of this Steve Miller, with the exact same phone number. He never states the purpose of his call, nor the company he represents. Apparently, once you return his call, he engages you in a telemarketing scheme. It seems that he has just been calling sequential phone numbers, from coast to coast.
Same call left on my answering machine. Steve Miller. Call me back 210-204-0022. On Sunday 27 Jan 08 @ 1:01PM. It came from Union City, NJ. Cannot be legit based on the number of reports.
I received the same call today at lunch time on my work voice mail. The number was 201-204-0022. I am located in Philadelphia. Glad I googled.. won't be calling him back.
Got a voicemail on my work phone (Roseland, NJ). Our caller ID showed only 80014 - Message said "This is Steve Miller, If you could return my phone call at 201-204-0022" No idea who this was - but it could have been connected with a client so I called back - A man answered, I identified my self and asked for Steve Miller - a long pause and then he said he was Steve Miller, but that he must have made a mistake and called the wrong number. Hardly likely since my office voicemail message clearly identifies me by name. He also had to go through a switchboard and ask for me by name to get my extension. He could be background checking or a process server looking for someone he needs to serve. Most unusual that he keeps doing this same thing across the country. Has anyone had any subsequent problems?
Got the call from Steve Miller today at about 11am, Hackensack, NJ! I'm sure its some kind of machine dialing because the beginning of his message was cut off on the voicemail, like he started talking right after the voicemail picked up and was saying "Please leave a message". So I go the part of the message where he left the number.... looked up the number in Google and found his name is Steve Miller .
got the same call uses 201-204-0024 as his dail out number but tells you call back on a 201-204-0022
Princeton 609 area code office number, appears this guy uses internal phone directories to place his call, so that appears why he has such a high pick up/ call bacl rate.
Just listened to the message this morning. He's definitely dialing sequentially, since I'm in Princeton and I see that others who posted here recently are in the same area. Another poster mentioned he's doing the NJ circuit. That seems about right.
Call has long pause (the pause is intentional so that it gives enough time for the outgoing message on an answering machine to finish before his message starts recording. Asks to call back on 201-204-0022.
Appears to be calling sequential numbers since the posts to this site are grouped together geographically over time.
He called me at home and at work, so I returned his call when I got his message at work, thinking it was significant. I got him on the line, and he said he must have misdialed. I told him he had left messages at home and at work, and when I politeley insisted he tell me what organization he was with, he hung up on me!
