Got a call from a Vehicle Warranty Company saying that I would be liable for any accidents if I "DID NOT CLEAR UP THIS MATTER"... our vehicle does not have a warranty, and I've never contacted these people before. I usually get a couple of calls a week with a similiar message with an option to "Press 2 if you have already handled this matter"... I keep "taking myself off the list" and still keep getting phone calls. I just keep turning in information to the FCC, hopefully someone will get rid of these telemarketing idiots!

Got this call too

Get this call repeatedly.  Have requested repeatedly to be removed.  Am on DO NOT CALL list.  Was expecting an important call and instead got these fools who hung up on me without hearing me out!!!  In the past they have told me that they call anyone with a car that is 1997 or newer and that they have no actual knowledge of any vehicle's factory warranty status.  One day I received two calls back to back with two different recordings, but both calls took me to Tierny who promised they were a legitamate business and that she would take me off the list and apologized for the second call claiming technical dificulty that she would turn in to Tech Support.  Today's caller was a man who will not give his name ( I have spoken to him before also.) and does not even say hello just "What is the year, make and model of your vehicle?"  When I say anything other than the answers to his question he gets clearly annoyed.  He has promised to remove my number twice, yet here he is again, calling me at 9:30 on a Saturday morning.  I am beyond frustrated. I am FURIOUS!!!!

I was accually home for one of the calls, I instructed the operator to take our # off their list, she said ok, the idiot of a woman did not comply and I am still getting the calls.  How do we track down this company for prosecution?  My father in law is a federal Lt.  I will ask him, and pass on any information.

Just got the phone call - my daughter answered and handed the phone to me.  I pressed 1 to clear up the matter - HE asked for make, model and year of the vehicle.  I told him that I missed the first part of the recording and wanted to clear this up.  I didn't know what he wanted.  He told me it was for vehicle warranty and I said oh, I'm not interested and started to say take me off your calling list but he interrupted (apparently already forgetting what I told him at first) and told me, "The next time someone calls, press 2 instead of 1."  Well, I love this site and getting more info helps.  We're on the Do Not Call List but somehow....

Got the call tonight at about 7:30.. Thank Goodness that we don't answer the phone during dinner.  And thank Goodness that this website exists.  Now I know I didn't miss anything, and won't answer for them.  If any of you want to prosecute as a group--count me in.

I got a call around 10:30 this morning from (201)228-1061.  After going to the internet, (typing in the number) to find out if these predators are targeting others...I find out they are!  The auto message started out saying they had important informantion regarding the warranty on my vehicle and to clear up the matter immediately.  So I pressed the number prompt for customer service (knowing it was solicitation) to get them to give me more information on their company - the reason for calling me and to be removed from their call list.  The man was awfully rude from the start.  He gave his name as Steve.  I always remember their names for accountability.  I said I was waiting for customer service to inform me of the nature of the phone call.  He immediately asked for my vehicle i.d. number.  I asked why. He quipted back, "Do you or don't you want the warranty for your vehicle?"  I replied "You all called me, and I'd like to know the nature of the call". He said "Do you want to continue to pay out of your pocket for repairs or do you want a warranty?"  I said that I was attempting to get details about the business first before I gave out information and again they called ME I didn't call them.  He nastily snapped back, "Well if you don't want it, next time just press 2!"  Then the unprofessional brut hung up on me.  I called the number back several times to speak to a manager, but all I got was a busy signal. They're up to NO GOOD - preying on unsuspecting victims in some way.

As everything these idiots said to me has already been stated here, I won't reiterate. I strongly encourage all of you to file a complaint with the FCC at fcc.gov and the FTC at ftc.gov

got the call 130 pm  they left a nessage thought it was a scam didnt call them  back.

MY MOTHER WHO IS 99 RECEIVES THE SAME CALLS AS DIPN, ON THE 30TH OF JAN 2008.  SHE HASN'T HAD A CAR FOR OVER 25 YEARS - SO PLEASE COME AND GET IT IF THE WARRANTY IS UP!  WHAT A BUNCH THESE TELEMARKETERS ARE - I HAVE A GOOD SUGGESTION FOR THEM:  COME AND WE'LL PLAY HORSEY - MOM WILL BE THE HEAD AND YOU CAN ACT NATURAL FOR YOUR PART!!!!!  WE ARE ALSO ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST, BUT THIS ONE GETS THROUGH SOMEHOW.  GOING TO GIVE ANOTHER TRY WITH THE FOLLOWING: www.FTC.gov/donotcall  HOPE THE REST OF THOSE WHO RECEIVE SUCH IDIOTIC CALLS DO THE SAME....HAVE A GOOD DAY.
