IRS Scam - robot call, left a partial message. The actual number came up 011-201-244-7185. I did not call the number in return.

Called the number back, got a HEAVY middle eastern or S.W. Asian (India or Pakistan) accent.....he said is name was "David Brown".......LMAO!!!! doesn't sound like a typical David Brown. Anyways his badge (so he says) is 122531. Apparently I'm being charged with fraud and theft.......typical......anyways I told him he was full of [***].......or I'm going away for 5 to 10 LOL.

If you want to have some fun, call him back. Ole David is worth a chuckle, and you won't feel bad abusing a foreign caller.....like AT&T's "Brad" from Kansas.

I received a phone call from this number. The message was automated, and the voice indicated it was calling from the IRS CI Division. There was no information specific to me or other details to identify the caller. The message said I should call be as soon as possible, but I have not.

You are wise to not call.

The call is a scam.  The caller will try to trick you into giving him money for over-due taxes or some other reason that exists only in his head.

The real IRS does not communicate by phone.  They only communicate by mail through the US post office.

Tried to call to screw arund with this scammer, but he keeps decliing my call!!!  Bummer.

Can anyone/anybody stop these kind of calls. These are really bad people trying to dupe, scare  and steal your hard earned dollars...  The caller left a message saying  she is from The IRS and that I should call her back...These scams are already old news...why is this continuing to happen??? Can we have the FBI or some technical guru  i.e.  from Homeland Security  find out and catch these people.? If the actual number started with a 011, it usually means the call is coming from another country.
