auto hang up when you answer. no chance to actually be put on DNC list

Caller id says ”Recovery" hung up after 4 rings which usually means a scammer...I don't like to answer because the calls just escalate when they think they have a live person available

possibly/more than likely a hack scam.  we have been having issues the last few months that have continuously escalated, and got this call today out of the blue  identified as 'recovery', and was a recording.

got a call from this number - it was a recording of getting recovery for addictions - press 1 if interested 5 if not.  I blocked them - I got this call before a while ago - sounds like a scam to me.

this is some type of addiction counseling hotline.  I keep receiving calls from this number, I have opted out several times and I even connected with one of their operators and all they did was hung up on me

Called, no mesage left.
Put on block list.
Sent Gypsy Curse.

I keep getting calls from this number even after opting out. So next call I pressed 1 to talk to someone asked to be taken off call list. Was told they would.  3 days later calls start again.  I get them 3 or 4 times a a week.  Phone was in purse on silent so I didn't answer ( I was at my father-in-laws funeral) they called 3 times back to back. So I answered today an pressed 1 again ( I was pleasant to begin with ) lady said she would take me off list I told her I had heard that before she said that's the best I can do for you and hung up on me.

I got tired of my phone ringing constantly from telemarketers.  I bought an airhorn and blasted a few of them.  Sometimes I answer the phone and put the receiver in a drawer or lay it on the table and go about what I was doing before.

Did not leave any message. Hung up when answered. Spam.. Don't answer

Just got a call. Didn't answer and didn't leave a message. Blocked.

Caller ID was "Bayonne NJ."  Presumed telemarketer.

Unknown caller and ID shows Bayone, NJ.  Never leaves message.
Am on DO NOT CALL REGISTRY but still receive unwanted calls.

Female Robocaller with "an urgent public service announcement concerning your electric bill....stop the coming 14% increase coming soon....press 1 to talk, 3 to be removed."  SCAM SCAM SCAM.   Caller ID ready just Bayonne, NJ.  Blocked number and reported these bad hombres to the FTC.

Calls 2 or 3 times a day! "Urgent public notice re electric bill...." scam annoying

I get quite a few calls from Bayonne (about 50 miles away), but this is the first time for this number. Rang about 4 times and disconnected. No message....Now BLOCKED!

Do you think possibly the reason you still receive unwanted calls even though you are on the DNC list might be because the callers are CRIMINALS and SCAMMERS who don't give a rat's a$$ about the DNC list?  DNC "list" is just that - a list provided to honest businesses so they don't call you.  It is very effective in controlling unwanted calls from legitimate businesses.

But CRIMINALS and SCAMMERS don't even bother to get the list.  Why bother?  They use spoofed caller ID name and numbers to prevent anyone from tracking them down.

Get a call blocker, and prevent them from annoying you.

These calls have been getting worse. I now get upwards of 6-8 scam calls a day. I block the number but they just call from a different one. Help!!!

Caller ID said "Other Lawyer"..........LOL!!   Assho!es.    It was blocked and labeled scam to begin with....just felt like passing it on.
