I just received a call (29 Nov 09) from this number to my cell phone, of which I've owned my cell number for a year.
I got a recorded message "Please allow a moment to be connected" and then it disconnected. I called back and was told it was "MRS and Associates" (New Jersey) and they were looking for a person who I assume had the number previously. They indicated they would remove my number from their database. Will wait and see.

i just got a call from this phone number also. no message was left.

Have no clue who this is. If it's a collections agency why are they calling so late? Got a call about 5pm PST. I thought the only work 9-5 EST? So it's past work time for them.

they are a collection agency.  they will call any phone number associated with the name of an account they are trying to collect on.  most of the time they have the wrong "john doe."  they call even if the info is wrong because that's how they find the deadbeats.

It is a Collections for State Farm Bank contracted through MRS Associates.

Call multiple times a day and NEVER leave a message.

Caller asked to speak to a Margaret XXXX. I told her there was no such person. She then said she had a wrong number and hung up.

Missed a call from 201-297-4628 and I don't recognize the number and I don't have any unpaid bills that some collection agency would be chasing me????

Called for a family member that does not live with us, nor has  ever lived with us. The message informed me that they were from Closter, Nj and were calling to collect an unpaid debt.

I got a call just a few minutes ago from that number. They keep calling me looking for a man that lives in my same town, owning on a corvette? They've been calling now for about a year. And my Dad simply told them, I'm just 14 so why would I own a corvette. But they still keep calling.

They are not allowed to call and release information about another person's debt other than finding out the location of the debtor.

Called 4 times on 4-22-2010.  All hung-up when the voice mail answered.  I owe no debts and I am on the don not call list.  This is pure harassment.

i have been getting calls for some company from the following numbers 1-201-297-4620,... 4621,4623, 4622,4624,4625, 4626,4627,4628. i have had to block these numbers daily as they start calling my home at 730am 7 days a week until after 11pm. they dont tell me who they are, where they are calling from, who they are looking for, or what its about. and when they leave messeges its the smae thing just a messege of business hours and a 5 or 6 digit number as a refference. when ive asked the lady who keeps calling about all this she ignores me and asks "when im going to take care of it?" ive said to her many times "take care of what? youhavent told me what this is about or who you are looking for or anything" and she hangs up on me. she does the smae thing to my husband and my 12 yr old if they answer. we dont live in the USA. we dont owe any money. do not have credit cards or order things by mail. our phone number is private and unlisted and also is on the don not call list for telemarketers.
i dont understand why they keep calling or how they got our number, or what it is they want. also no idea who they are looking for. i have contacted a lawyer and i notified the lady this morning and she is still calling. so i googled the number and found this, so mow im reporting it here. and i now know the companys name. im very angry as i now have to pay $60 to have our phone number changed and we have had this number for over 10 yrs. this is BULLS**T!!!!!!

They call late at night, and early in the morning, between one and ten times a day. I have told them that I have never even heard of the person they are looking for, but they continue to call. Ay, ay, ay!

I also got call from this number at least once every other week...but no message.

Endlessly calling my FAX number.  Idiots.  Also, they are illegalling blocking their name from appearing on Caller ID.

I received a message from phone number 201 297 4623 on Nov. 30, and again today Dec 1, 2012 that if I did not call this number back that something bad was going to happen.

They keep calling and leave no message.  Sounds like they are debit collectors looking for someone
we don't know.  Wish we could charge them $500.00 for every nuisance call made.  Telephones are
becoming increasingly worthless as are those who continue to abuse them.
