This number called me at the oddest times.

The only thing sent to my phone was three beeps.  There was no voice or any other sounds.  My assumption is that it's a telemarketing making up a list of cell phone numbers.  I'm on the donotcall.gov list, which appears to have little significance in some circles.

Rang twice on my business cell phone and hung up. Have received two fake IRS calls on house phone in the last month from people with Indian or Asian type accents with threats to arrest for taxes which is ridiculous as they are fully paid every year.

Wife's cell.......no one answers....no message.  Carriers don't care.  Yes # on DNC national useless

The reason that it seems the Do Not Call List isn't working, is that telemarketers have systems that can robo call and create fake numbers and they get through the system with no problem, only to annoy the hard working tax payers.  The Do Not Call List works, but it need to be updated to repel organizations that use more sophisticated methods.

Received a call on my cell phone.  Blocked it.  No biggie.  The DNC List works, the problem is telemarketers have gotten more sophisticated software that allows them to robo call and create fake phone numbers.  DNC is not equipped to deal with such methods.  So if you do not have a "blocker" on your cell phone or otherwise, then you are the useless one, not the system.

I get more and more of these calls every day.  I realize that these scumbags don't care that there is a DNC list (Yes, I have been a member since 2006 - AND I have updated), BUT  -- am I missing something here?! --  how do you block a call from a number who has never called you before?!!? If you try to block every call from every no. you don't recognize, your cell phone becomes a list of numbers of SCAMMERS, not personal contacts.  Am tired of this crap!

You don't need to update your phone on the DNC list. Its there until you remove it or change the number.  Criminals are not about to obey the DNC laws though.

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

called number back and states it is lisa with rewards department ...telemarketer

Telemarketing calls over and over

Just got a call about an hour ago, didn't even know I had a call. Didn't leave a voicemail so.

Just got the call while 'indisposed'. Entered it into Google and found this page.

I read this once and am itching to give it a try.
Next time they call.
"Yeah, it's done! But there's blood everywhere!"
Then hang up.
