    got a call from this number on my blackberry/Verizon... since I don't know it, I did not answer but they didn't leave a message either... Am I supposed to accept the fact that I'll receive unsolicited calls from telemarketers on my cell??

    Just got a call from them claiming to be from vonage. Attempted to get my pin code and answers to my security questions and they would give me a free adapter. This reads scam all over it.

    CID says "Vonage" but I think its fake and this is a scam. This number now calls repeatedly but never leaves a message.

    The caller i.d. says "Vonage," but the number is not a Vonage hosted number.  Can you say "spoof?"  That is the first clue.  The caller is claiming to offer Vonage adapters, and then asks for security information.  My account shows that I have purchased more adapters than I have numbers.   If this was Vonage calling they already know that I have a Vonage number so this wouldn't have to be verified.  SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM.
