- amy| 4 repliesLady with heavy accent called me 3 times today and left the same message. I called the number she left for me to call, (316) 444-1050, she rambled off my name and address to me and then told me she was going to put the investigating officer on the line. She came back, and told me he had left for the day, but it was important that I call before 8:30 tomorrow morning if I didn't want to be arrested for IRS fraud. I can't wait to call back. Does anyone know what they are REALLY calling about? I am anxious to get to the bottom of it!

- Rebekah replies to amyThey are just scamming you. I would assume they would ask you for payment, which is hilarious. They will typically know enough info about you to make it seem legit, but that's how they work. IRS doesn't call - they send mail. And they never threaten you

- W.T.I was called yesterday and left a message to have my criminal attorney contact the IRS.
Today i was called again by a man with heavy Indian accent who i promptly asked for an "agent" that spoke english... the other guy was not any better. Nelson King Tax ID # 23218 with case # CD86452 I was told i would be arrested for fraud, theft, etc. When i told him i need a minute to comprehend what is going on he started yelling at me and googled the number and called my husband who was promptly yelling at me to hang up the phone its a scam. My accountant said the IRS will NEVER contact you on the phone. Certified mail with return signature if its important. Nonetheless, i had the crap scared out of me.- Caller: 201-335-2726
