This number claims to be the IRS - they give you a name and badge number and tell you they've been to your home 3 times and now need to sue you.  I've filed a complaint on the IRS scam website.

Received a recorded message from this number claiming that I was part of a lawsuit and must call back immediately or face criminal charges. Number is from somewhere in New Jersey. Sounds like an intimidating scam. Shall report them to the police and see if they can't do something about it.

Answering machine had the recorded message from "garbled name" with the IRS and our name was involved in a lawsuit, call back before they have to send it to the local court agency,.... sounds like the same as the others.

this number has been spoofed. not only by phony IRS, but "free web promotions" regarding survey and free bahamas trip. if it shows up on your caller id, don't bother answering
