2015354777 has been calling me, I talked to someone, they said I was under investigation for IRS, I asked to speak to a supervisor because I did not understand operator, then they hung up. Another good example of natural selection.

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.

IRS does not file lawsuits.   Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS has no powers of arrest.    If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job.  IRS does not cold call anyone and ask for money. IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case.  No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments.  Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but  usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement.    All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

They have been aggressively calling me with an automated voice message saying claiming they are they IRS. I called back and snidely asked what they wanted. The guy on the line asked what my name  phone number was. I laughed and stated that "YOU called ME." I told them, if they were really the IRS, they would know who called and would easily ID me without me stating so. I also told them to quit calling me and quit scamming people. He immediately said "YOU [***]" in some kind of Indian/Pakistani/Middle Eastern/Northern African accent and hung up. Go ahead and report this number, I can't wait for them to stop calling me because this is getting old.

Please report the phone numbers you receive to the US treasury department found at this website:

I have had the same call as well.  2 days in a row.  Today I finally answered.  They said I owed 2500 dollars from 2008-2013.  They said if I didn't pay within 1 hour authority would be at my place and I am looking at 5-9 years in prison.  They told me I had to pay 290 right now and go to a near by money gram place.  The guy was paskistan.  They had my address.  And then I said I don't know where this place is.   Then he said I need to go to a wlamart near by.  And that I have to stay on the phone for the whole time due to security purpose and that this is being reported by the gov.  Then when I said Im not going to a walmart he hung up.

I too got a suspicious call from this number. When I called it asked for my name and number which I didn't give then I heard part of a message saying mailbox was full. Sounded suspicious and don't believe I have any beef with the IRS. The accent was India or Pakistan and seemed like a scam. Now I am sure it is!

I also got the same calls from this number today,
/17/2014 but did not answer it.  The caller left a voice message saying he is from the office of the IRS. I placed this number to my rejects list.

Just got a call right now. I didn't want to pick up since I did not know the area code. No voice mail left, so I hid my number and called them back to investigate. All I got was an automated voice saying, "The party you are calling has declined to accept this call." Sounds shady. At least when you call the IRS they accept all calls.

I have gotten calls from this number for the last week.  They have called my cell phone six time in one hour today and since I do not answer calls I don't know, they try to leave voice mails.  Funny, they must really be upset because I don't have mine set up. I happen to have friends with the IRS and I owe not one penny to state or federal. Lucky we are smarter then they are.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
