A man with a heavy accent told me I cannot ask who was calling because I was a "effing idiot." ............

Called and left no message.  Caller ID has V series.  Scammer!?

Calls occasionally, never leaves a message, always evidence of a scammer telemarketer. Now blocked.

White American male called to "advertise" about Solar Panels in my area. Ironically some other middle eatern person called about the same thing earlier in the day. I yelled at the American male that he is breaking the law (Do Not Call List) and he just hung up. Called the number back several times and received a busy signal. Reported this scammer to FCC.

I received a call from this number on Thursday, 08/31/17 at 1255 hrs and no voice-mail message was left. Caller ID displayed 'WYCKOFF, NJ' and nothing more. Since I was not expecting a call from this area code nor do I even know anybody from or do business with any organization in New Jersey, the call was rightfully ignored. Besides, the majority of legitimate businesses/organizations will usually leave a voice-mail message.

Further internet research has disclosed that this number has been reported as being SPOOF’d numerous times as of late where the caller is proclaiming to be with the FBI, proclaiming to be calling on behalf of an automobile warranty service, an insurance broker trying to sell automobile insurance, different males with an Indian/Middle Eastern accent and the bogus computer tech support scam, others posing as a bill collector, female caller and the free cruise ploy, the solar panel scam, etc. Needless to say, and sadly, that this SPOOF’d number is being used by various types of documented SPAMmer SCAMmers.

Because of the plethora of SPAMmers/SCAMmers continually weaseling their way through cellphone and landline networks as of late, I have ‘white listed’ all numbers of those whom I would ever want to speak with and all others will just be rightfully ignored...cheers.

P.S. If you haven't figured it out by now, the Federal Do Not Call List only works for legitimate businesses/organizations and does not work to thwart against SPAMmers/SCAMmers, as well as those utilizing robocallers.

Received this harassment call at 9:00 pm. Did sound like a criminal, but claimed to be with FBI.
Got V83120550200134 on the caller ID. So obvious it is a SCAM!

While the Federal Do Not Call List is generally only referenced by legitimate businesses, it is important to report these spammers/scammers on the website. It allows the government to see how widespread this activity is, and the more information you can give them, the better the chance of tracking these guys down. The DO find some of these guys. Some is better than none, especially if it makes it harder for them to operate.

Received a call Aug 31, 2017 at 5:30 PM. The sales pitch began for solar panels. When I asked "what is the name of your company?" I was passed off to a man with an accent who launched into the spiel. I finally got him to identify the company as "Green Energy with offices in Los Angeles and Dallas, TX." When I asked him about why the call was coming from New Jersey, he became a bit flustered, tried to return to the sales pitch. I kept mentioning that the number they called is on the Federal DNC list and that I would be reporting them, and it didn't faze him. When I told him point blank that he was calling me ILLEGALLY he finally got it and told me I would be "placed on the do not call list" and would "never ever receive a call from this company again."
