- DrminpaGot a call from "Window Service Center" like noted above. He wanted access to my computer to fix viruses he said were coming from my computer. While he was talking I googled Windows Service Center and uncovered his scam. I told him I'd like to call him back later and he gave me this number. My next webpage will be the FBI website.
- Carol replies to TonyDo you know what this scammer Chris Martin is trying to do? I may have given him access to my computer for a short time. I did not give him passwords of credit card info . But, I am concerned.
- DianeSame problem as above. Sounds Indian, and I have told him repeatedly not to call as I figured it was a scam after the first call. Have received at least 5 calls I'm sorry people would let someone access their computer when you didn't call anyone with a problem. Next time they call I may say "This American isn't stupid " and hang up. The old saying..." Don't call me I'll call you " !

- Cathie TWork in the computer industry. A client of mine received a call today stating that they were a Windows service center and that her computer was infected. He said he wanted to show her the infections and had her type in eventvwr and then selected the customize view and showed her all these infections on her computer. He then told her he can fix these and all she would need to do is type a code in the run command line. Luckily she hung up and contacted me. They called from 201-588-3343. I did call that number at 3:15 p.m. EST and the number did answer. Sounded like a very noisy call and man sounded like he was from India type country. Next reported site will be the FBI!!

- Michelle| 1 replyI just received a phone call from this number. The caller said his name was Jason & that he was calling from the Microsoft Technical Support Department & had a very a=hard to understand accent. I instantly thought it was weird that someone from microsoft would be calling me at 7:25pm about a problem i had to idea i had? While he was talking, i hurried up and did a reverse phone number look up. I seen all these posts and i called "jason" out as to why he was calling me and why was their complaints of him doing this same thing to other people and and was he the only one who worked in the technical department for Microsoft? He then hung up on me. Be careful, sounds like a scam

- kb_fooI've had contact from the same people, claiming that they had received information from an infected Windows 7 computer. They had our phone number and name. We don't own such a computer, so I knew it was a scam right away. When I asked them to remove the phone number from their list, they were very hostile and threatened to charge us a fee for doing so, even though we are on the do-not-call list. Report them here: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

- Anne| 1 replyPeter calling from Microsoft Technical Support, claiming current time is 12:15 p.m. in NJ - if he really was calling from NJ, it'd be 2:15 p.m. Of course he could not ID the actual virus in our computer, when asked said the electronic virus in our computer is deadlier than the aids virus. He wasn't happy when called out on his fraud.

- JoaquinOne night, (on my cell phone) I was checking out imges of women with nice-natural-boobs on Google images and clicked on a link to go to find more pictures of a certain beautiful woman that I liked. I was then taken to a site that said something like "Useles Files". I tried to save an image onto my cell phone and it asked for permission to have access to many areas (including my wifi service). The next morning I was called by a young man with a heavy Indian accent named Jason. He told me that he was with Windows Tech Support and that he was receiving alerts from my computer of a threat from a malicious virus and that he could remove it (because antivirus cannot detect it). He told me to open the "Run" window and to type in:

- jeffReceived a phone call this morning re: the same intro. I knew that this was a scam because our caller ID showed 000-0000-0000. I began to play along and asked him his name, "Adam Peterson," with an East Indian accent. I asked for his number just in case we got disconnected and he gave me, 201-588-3343. I asked him why was my caller ID number displayed as a bunch of zeroes and there was a hesitation and then a hang up. Darn! I wanted to have fun with the guy, but he did not want to play my game. Next time.
