This number also called me. What they calling about? Why should I block?

I called the number back. It's the telephone company Vonage. Don't know why they were calling as it sounded like one of those automated customer service numbers.

I received 2 calls today, when answered it no answer.

2016368490 number keeps calling me. When I pick up phone, there is no sound. On calling him/her back, no one answers.

Getting calls from this number, no one speaks, cannot call them back and no messages. Apparently some scam

My wife received a call from this number offering service from Vonage. Apparently they offered a free additional Phone line and they had my data as a current Vonage customer. I still don't know if they really were Vonage but that's what the caller ID says.

I also received multiple calls from the number. For couple of times, no one replied when I picked up the call. The third time, a guy (his name was Spanish and had an accent too) said he is calling from Vonage and that there is a new scheme to get a vonage extension on my cell phone. I said I already have it, then he said oh k ya I see that you already have it, alright then. Thank you.And then hung up. Clearly he wasn't from Vonage. I was very suspicious and called abck on the number. No one picked and then after few rings it went to an automated voice message to vonage and said are you calling for your vonage account XXX-XXX-XXXX. It was my number....THis is clearly a scam. Block the number.

I just called and informed the telephone communications company about the 201-636-8490 annoying phone calls. That phone is for one of their customers.

Call them and report the same phone number to them. I gave them this website address for them to see the multiple complaints regarding the 201-636-8490 phone calls representing themselves as Vonage. I also contacted Vonage.

Called with no Caller ID other than number.  I did not pick up and they left no message.

Have been getting calls everyday since Mar 26. They never leave a message. I have never received calls about offers from Vonage, only email. I doubt this caller is actually Vonage.

Here is how you block calls. I have Vonage, but can work with almost anything else. You will need the following.

GoogleGmail account
- Google voice, it will connect with your gmail account.
- YOUR phone service, have all calls set to ring at "0" (zero) seconds, after that, forward all your calls to Google Voice.
- Have google voice then ring on either your gtalk, or cell phone. This way, you won't hear a ring on your main number. It will go to your GV phone.

If the caller is an unwanted caller, then use the google voice to "Block" all calls from that number. When they call again, it will NEVER ring out, but you will be able to view any history of it, but for evermore, THEY will hear nothing but, "We're sorry, but the number you are trying to call is no longer in service." There you go. Now, using google voice, and gmail, you will have the Google Contacts that will also work with your Smartphone cell phone. This way, those incoming calls will show up as those you know. Those on your contacts list/directory will get through. Those who are not, will be blocked by you forever.

It's a work around, but it works.

I just talked to Vonage, it's a scam. they try to get people's PIN number then they call vonage with that pin and order a mass bank of phone lines from Vonage. THEN YOU GET STUCK WITH THE BILL.  BLOCK THAT NUMBER OR DON'T GIVE OUT THE PIN.

I  am getting calls from this number. Never asnwered. they don't leave msg either.

Caller is from voyage wanting to ask that  you add additional lines!
