They said they were from the IRS but I cannot imagine that at the end of that message they would tell me if I didn't respond I needed some good luck

Received call from this number earlier today. Caller ID: New Jersey call. Caller said he was "Officer Eric Foster" and lleft message that "if I didn't respond I needed some good luck."

Yup he just wished me good luck, maybe I should buy a lotto ticket.

i got this call too. IT IS A SCAM  frickn' loosers!  IRS will not cold call you. They will notify you by mail and certified mail. THe only times you may get a call is if you are currently working with a specific person already.

11-25  found a message from this number, a man identifying himself as "Officer Derek (or Eric) Foster,  Message was garbled a little, but the tone was threatening, and the message was to call him back as this was a "time sensitive matter", etc.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I just received the same call and said tge same thing when I calked back it was just and answering machine that was full

201-643-7930 is a scam going around the country right now their pretending to be IRS .IRS will never call you by phone.I call them back and ask them how to they sleep at night steeling money from people the guy to me he will continue pulling this scam and curse me out .Only I turn it back on them and call them back to be just as annoying as they are , really 19 times I call and made them angry which made me happy  . I received the same call about IRS and coming to my house with a warrant in 45 minutes, after 45 minutes I called them back and then continued to call them back, each time acting like I spoke with that same person before and told them that they hung up on me.  Because "they" are a call center using the same "Officer's" name they would try to continue on with our last call but I would make stuff up and they would agree.  I did is so much I think I am blocked.  They want to waste my time, I will waste their time.  Have a great day.

My husband received a call from this number yesterday. The woman on the phone told him he was guilty of tax fraud and would be "going to jail in the next 30 minutes for at least 90 days without bail or bond". Seriously?!? How stupid do these people think we are?!

Received call today .also big scam I put stop to it and called union city detective dept....

Got a call from  201-643-7930 left a message saying he was officer Johansson and we needed to call back, I called back it went to voice mail but box was full.

I got a call from this guy yesterday. He even threatened my life.  So now I've been blowing his phone up.  I've talked to Derek Williams,  Eric foster,  Michael Collins,  David Williams,  all of which are the same person.  I've put maybe 400 calls through his phone.  Dude is an idiot.  

I just got a call from this number.  Of course, I was immediately on alert.

I just call from this number a Eric Foster.  Can't speak worth a crap.  Also wished me luck if I do not return his call.

Scam calling to be the IRS

Unfortunately there are people who are way too trusting who fall for this scam. If the person is gullible enough to believe them, they send the person to the store to buy gift cards and then ask the person for the number on the gift cards and they steal all of their cash. I'm not talking hundreds, I'm talking tens of thousands. I know first hand that there are people out there who fall for this scam. These scum sucking leaches prey on the elderly and I am aware of at least one person who got hit for $9,700 because she was so frightened that she was going to jail. PLEASE, even though you may be smart enough to google it, our parents and grandparents may not think to do this so pass this information along to everybody you know. The IRS will never ever call you and ask you to load gift cards with large amounts of cash to pay off a debt. NEVER!!!!

Got a call from number 360-851-4693 saying they were the IRS and my name was in a law suit that i owe money to IRS cause i did fraud in my 2009 taxes... its different number now but same name Derek Williams ...
