Linda Banks called my place of employment said she is from an attorney office.  Did not leave any further information.

LINDA BANKS CALLED STATING SHE IS FROM CHARLES TURNER & ASSC ATTORNEYS OFFICE AND SHE IS CALLING TO COLLECT A DEBT. VERY ARROGANT AND RUDE. EXPLAINED TO HER I WAS AT WORK, SHE DIDNT SEEM TO CARE. I ASKED IF I COULD CALL HER BACK SOME OTHER TIME, SHE ASKED COULD I TELL HER WHY I HAVENT PAID! LOL.. LONG STORY SHORT, I HAD TO HANG UP ON HER..

RECEIVED A CALL FROM LINDA BANKS AT MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT STATE NEED TO CALL BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE 201-670-8851 GAVE SOME NUMBER 99DPDZO SOMETHING LIKE THAT COULD NOT UNDER THE NUMBER VERY GOOD. NOT SURE WHO THIS IS THIS CALL COMES EVERY NOW AND THEN.

Got a call from a lady named Lisa stating she was from Attorney's office Charles Turner and ACA - wouldn't say what the "debt" she is demanding is for! Left a number of 800-356-3713

Got a call from Linda banks and Lisa Roberts say they were calling from Charles turner and assicates.say they trying to collect a due that I have no clue about and I didn't pay I would be sued.in my state they gave three different number that didn't work please tell who are these people.

just recieved call from office of charles i turner esq claiming i was in collections for owing to my next pay day a company i never used supposedly parent co of my next paycheck i asked for co id which is tax id linda brooks when first speaking to her said i could not get id till monday explained i did would not be able to send fax w bank report showing my next paycheck took out fraud amounts and much more over 2300 0n a 500 loan 1300plusin one day as any good fraud co knows if they have ach all they have to do is ask for money in different amounts as a freeze can only be put on if you know exact amount of next dispersment or empty your account and even freeze takes a day so they can valuate all accounts over night they phished for personal info by asking about health and previous enlistment in armed serveces  i gave my age before i realized her ire at co they supposedly collecting for was taking advantage of me and asked for service times over and over i had caught on by then miss linda turner mentioned on other messges here now defrauds as linda brooks what really gave it away was it was from a attorney but gave no name of collection agency when i called back and confronted her while looking at info on this sight and i said i would be reporting her to irs and fbi she said go [***] yourself how bout that boy the thives and liers out thier are really growing and adjusting if they do not get you coming they get you going aca is co name again and this linda character is just changing her last name

My husband received a letter from "Charles I Turner, Esq" attorney at law supposively.  Anyway I GOOGLED this so called attorney and couldn't find his law firm anywhere in NJ.  This company gave us a loan when my husband didn't even apply through them.  Anyway as far as I can tell this is not a Law Firm just a collection agency.

I would like to report this number 201 67008272 and the company for harassment and scare tactics.

This is unbelieveable I had a car loan with the company they are supposedly talking about but, my vehicle has been paid off for the past...THREE YEARS...really people get a life..

Received calls at work about "Your Fast Payday" loan that is not apart of any thing I deal with.  The lady was Linda Banks and she threatened to have me arrested if I didn't make two payments that would equal $695.  Could not find any attorney under the listing of Charles I Turner, Esq.  Such a "crook".  Can't believe people like this are in the world taking from individuals who work everyday to make a honest living.  Don't fall for this trap!!!!

This company has called my place of employment severals, enough when I have told them not to call. They have threaten and cussed to me. Said several times they are with the attorney general's office. I told them to send whatever proof of an unknown debt to me. When I called them back they said I was harassing them.

No letterhead, no stationery on any letter. If Collection agency would have a State authorized numbers on any letter unfortunately none of the above were presented. I personally have the reasonable to believe that If there is a fake attorney attempts to practice laws, not necessary collecting debts he or she could be reported to ABA, local DA office. Let's take care of this bad apple.

That's not the way to find out if a person is an attorney.

It happens that there IS an attorney currently registered by that exact name in New Jersey, in Jersey City, as a matter of fact.  That attorney does have a 201 area code contact number, albeit not the number identified as calling from the number at issue in these posts.  The listing says the attorney has been licensed since June, 1985 in New Jersey.

The correct place to go for determining whether an attorney is licensed in New Jersey is:

If you want to find out on-line whether the attorney has been disciplined in New Jersey in the past, the correct place to go is:

Because their records are stored quarterly as PDF files and cumulative listings are not available after 2010, you may have to go through multiple files to get any disciplinary information, if any exists at all.  But the service does provide instructions on how to most efficiently look through the files they provide.

It is entirely conceivable, however, that the person calling you has nothing to do with this attorney and may instead be stealing his identity for their own nefarious purposes.  That does seem to be happening with some degree of frequency these days.  If so, you may be able to find that out (and do the real attorney a favor, as well) by calling him at the telephone number you will find on the New Jersey Courts website.  And if the number given on their website doesn't belong to the attorney or has changed, the NJ Courts would probably like to know that.
