This was a 50,000 dollar government grant scam. Indian lady saying her name was Ashley Johnson and asking for personal information.

This is definitely a scam. I had the same call from "Ashley Johnson" offering the same thing for personal information.

We were also offered $50,000 in a personal grant from this number.  She said it was a personal grant that we could use as we please.

I recieved a call as well, got all excited, gave information, and now I'm freaking out.  I had applied for free money from the government a year ago.  My computer was down so I couldn't check.  Bought beer to celebrate.  There's a tear in it.  Wouldn't have bought it otherwise.  Hey, anyone got 50,000$  I need a house so bad.  I can dream.  Somehow.  Now I want to die again.  Can't I get a f'n break?   Just one I only need one ONE in my f'd up life.  Off drugs, and have a few beers on occasion.  I was going to give Joyce Meyers Ministries some money, and help people.  I'll never be anything.  Life sucks!!

I am so sorry you had an encounter with this fraud. I did not give any personal information. They already had my name. But I will be praying for you.

Got a call from this number, it came in as "Unknown" but it left a voicemail from this number. Recorded message actually knew my full name. I can't imagine where they got the info from. Area code 201 is New Jersey.

Where do these people get our information?  I've learned not to answer my phone if I don't know the number and look it up on the web to read the posts about the number...
