Called twice, 1st time hung up. Second time 2 hrs later, was a call center (loud in the background) and the person had such a thick Indian accent they were hard to understand. Everytime I talked they stopped and started again at the beginning of the script. I was told "the federal reserve has money waiting for you since you do not have a criminal record,haven't filed bankrupcy, & pay your bills on time. It will be deposited in your bank account within 25 mins of this call". I said, 'I do have a criminal record', they ask how long ago and I said 2 yrs. They said they only go back 1 yr. Then they started the script again. I said when they got to that part- 'oh, I have filed for bankruptcy' & they ask 'how long'. I said '6 months ago'. They said 'since it hadn't gone through your OK'. My reply was "Oh good because I really want my money". Then they started over again on the script, This time when they got to  the part of "you pay your bills on time", I said. 'but I don't pay my bills on time. That is why I am I am filing bankruptcy, but I really want my money- please tell me how to get it!" Finally they just hung up on me!

Just had them call me.  I asked they remove my name off of their list.  THe lady with a very heavy indian accent told me that she was not selling anything just wanted to inform me of something.  I told her not to waste my time.  she replied with "if you dont want to hear then don't waste my time and hung up"  I guess I was wasting her time LOL.

Promising your a FREE GRANT - but you have to pay money up front  to receive it.  WHICH IS ILLEGAL.

The caller may even assure you that you can get a refund if you're not satisfied. In fact, you'll never see the grant they promise. They disappear with your money.

I don't answer these crank calls anymore. When I reported them they told me not to answer, half of them were outside of the US.

They have called me at least 10 times in the past 2 days. Just now i answered and they asked for someone who i have no idea who it is. I just told them "Wrong number" and hung up. hopefully they dont call me again! And they obviously have no idea how to leave a message

No One ever there and they call me at least 12 or more times a day!

Feburary 2,2012 At 3:05 just Called Me Not Even 20 Minutes Ago Telling me About a Government Grant That I Dont Have to Pay Back. I Cut Her Short &&& Told her This Has Happened To Me Already Nice Try. Then She Gone Try && Tell Me there Must Be Some Kind Of Mistake. So I Said Im Not Sending Yall NONE Of My AMERICAN Money To INDIA If This Money is For Me I Dont Have To Send No Money To No CHARITY In INDIA NO Where && Yall Not Getting My Bank ACCOUNT Info Then She Gone Say She Going To Call Me RIGHT Back She Has To Speck With He Manager To Inform Him About This. I Told her Dont Call My Phone Any More Talking That Stupidness In My EAR. Trynna SCAM Me.. No No No No I Dont Think So I fell For That Once Before

Got a call from some Indian lady who said I had money coming from the US government.  Not a chance.  I actually owe the government.  Then I hung up.

Got a call a couple minutes ago and they asked for me personally. I said "SORRY WRONG NUMBER" and he called me a VERY good liar and hung up! LOL! IDIOTS! Hope NO ONE falls for this SCAM!

Don't answer calls from spoofed numbers. There are no exchanges (the three #'s after the area code) that start with 0 or 1 in the U.S.

Just got a call from this number and I was going to get $8,400 put  in my bank account from the government.  She had a heavy foreign accent.  When I refused to give her my banking information, she was very persistent.  After about 5 minutes she said, I will have my supervisor talk to you.  Have a good day and God Bless.  Then she hung up!!!

Dnt know anyone from that area code even if you might, u have a choice reject all calls especially on cells phones.Thats what voicemails voice mail was created for. If legit they will admit, be certain that you are fully aware of who you are calling back. You'll have been contacted by us postal service (snail mail) if there a collection company. These others fools could be scams or skip tracers. Know all your  rights  city, state and federal. .........leave us alone

I have received several calls from this number, but today is the first time I answered it (in error by the way).  I could not understand what the caller was saying, told him so, he then replied "F*** You, M***** F*****, did you understand that?"  and hung up.  Someone needs to do something about this, I am happy to do it, but do not have any idea who to report it to....

Today, February 6, 2012, I received a call from this number, (202-001-5000).  
The voice was a young female I would say between (16-28), who immediately  said 'I'm sorry,I dialed the wrong number'. I took to the computer and was surprised to see this number and all of the replies from citizens like me. I hope and pray that this telephonic harassment and deceit will cease and surface nevermore. "So let it be written, so let it be done"

wow at what I'm reading, glad I handled it the way I did as I have heard so much about scams like this. They called my son's cell phone,pretty much same as what others have said, women with strong accent,my son was freaking out and said please talk to my Mom she handles my finances(as he is a teenager), she trys to explain to me about the grant, I cut her off and told her I don't know how you got his # or name,but I know about scams like this and you better lose his #, she hung up. I do feel sorry for those who do fall for it, guess the old saying is true: if it is to good to be true, it probably is...on that note though, I can't help but wonder how they did get his cell phone # and how they new his name?? Things that make you go hmm...

My son just got the same call, young person thinking free money I'm in. I asked to speak to the woman whose name is Jessica Parker. Also a thick Indian accent. I asked if she lived in the United States. She did not answer but started her script again. I said I will not give you an account number , but please feel free to send the check to my home for him. After going round and round I said we are not interested in your free money.

They have called numerous times, I can't even understand what the fellow is saying. I have told them not to call my number, but they continue to do so.
