- incredulouspm call PST.
DC Caller.
Adamant that my use of Microsoft software can (needs) be further protected from hackers. Caller (boiler room bkgrd sounds/ outsource accent; Delhi ?) only needs more information re: my personal data, etc. I was assured the caller, himself, was not a 'hacker', as 'a hacker would not be calling on the phone', and, afterall, he was calling from Microsoft'. I hung up. - Bothered by scam callers| 3 repliesCall came in from some kind of foreigner...said the computer was being HACKED at this moment, and that I should hear him, and NOT go on line...no matter what, don't go on line...He claimed to be from Microsoft..another scam...
- Janet| 1 replyJust received a call from this number saying my computer was being hacked, wanted me to go on-line to fix something and give more information. My husband wouldn't and the caller, with a heavy indian accent, told him he was a "stupid man" because we were being hacked RIGHT NOW. Unbelievable! Don't listen to these people. He claims to be Microsoft!
- PCJUNKETGot this call as well, claiming to be from Windows. This is all the caller was able to say before I said, No you're not! They did however have my first name, which makes me think they must be working off some kind of list or stolen information. Beware all!!!

- katie| 2 repliesgot the same nasty phone call, saying they were from Windows, and my computor firewall had been hacked and threatened a law suit if i had anyone else fix it. they wanted me to open a file, and i did not, but i did report them to two different gov. reporting agencys. hope they get caught.
- HavingnoneofitThis is a scam. Have gotten calls from them from several different numbers. Once they said they were from Microsoft, another from Windows and one who told me my computer was being attacked by internet invaders. The last time they called and I told him I was aware this is a scam, the guy said he had my name and number and then proceeded to tell me what he was going to do to me. I hung up. Keep a whistle near the phone and then blow really hard into the receiver.
- WallaceI just received the same call from a guy with an Indian accent. He claimed to be from Microsoft. When I started laughing he asked me why was I laughing? I told him that I was a certified tech with Microsoft. He then admitted that he was trying to hack my computer. I told him good luck and hung up.

- GertrudeI received a call at 7:37 am - I asked her if she knew what time it was...She proceeded to tell me that my hard-drive was being infected with illegal virus'. I said so tell me what you what me to do and she started in and I let her talk. I wonder if this is related to the phone call from St. Maatan telling me that my Windows 7 was being hacked that number is: 721-856-5389 (this guy gave me a return phone number that did not work). I know this to be a scam as I don't have Windows 7....I'm turning them over to the Attorney General. Also, when I answered my phone, then the phone rang and someone picked it up - it is a rerouted call to who knows where.

- Doug| 1 replyThey called once and my wife answered. Starting telling her our computers were hacked and they needed to help us. She told them they had to talk with me. They called back and said they were form Windows anti-hack help des. He started walking me through a process looking at the event logs. I had disconnected the router and I wanted to see where they were going. Guy was persistent and very pushy..when I finally said I didn't believe him he turned me over to a senior tech. When I told him I didn't believe him and told him I thought he was just trying to get i nfo he turned me over to a senior tech manager! I could tell they were just passing the phone around. Could hardly understand what they were saying. The last guy got nasty when I wouldn't do what he was asking and just said they weren't going to force me...and hung up. Hope they're gone. Also don't like the looks of that phone number.
