Somebody call me for this 202 098 7114

Called me and left fairly long message that one couldn't come close to understanding. Almost like they were in a bar or club. Weird.

Received a call from this number telling me that I was chosen to receive a free federal grant in the amount of $7,000.00 from the US Government. They had my name and address. Asked how I would want to receive that money and gave me three options..one being western union, walmart to walmart, etc., the other to be direct deposited, and the other in cash. I said walmart just to see what else they would ask. They gave me a grant number and a phone number to call to get further information about how to receive my money. I said thank you and tore up the number.

Once again call says they are with the IRS, some guy with a heavy accent, barely speaks English and he tries to tell me that a lien is about to be made against me by the government for past due taxes...Total scam I said yeah B.S. and hung up/

Said he was from the US Treasury Dept offering me a $ 7000.00 Grant.  I hung up

I have been receiving calls from this number but i never answered until today and the guy on the other side can't even pronounced correctly the name of the person he was trying to find so i hung up

I got the same guy from several numbers. This being the latest one. Very heavy accent and busy background noise (like a tv was on?). Decided to talk the rest out as this is the 8th or 10th call I've received from the same guy after asking several times to be removed off the calling list thinking they were just sales people. Once I got called about getting  scholarship to go back to school. The latest was him saying I was randomly selected to get a $7000 grant from the govt for free and no need to pay back because I made payments on time and had no criminal charges in the last six months.  Gave me the three options someone listed above. I said I would like more written information please. He sighed and kept saying he was calling with the information and if he could mail me info, why wouldnt he have just sent me a check. He said "use your [***] common sense" and hung up on me. Wonder if he finally took me off his calling list...

Just started getting calls from this number and after reading everyone's post will not be answering this number.  It's going on a permanent block!  Thanks everyone

Called me twice. No voicemail left. Who are they?

Called and couldn't understand what they were saying when I told them they had wrong number he started in with the "I have the right number" I hung up, with other comments here I am blocking this number.

Scam call

I got the same call too. Who is? Scam!!!

Someone just called me with that same information.

I received a call from this number, the man claimed to be with the US treasury department and said I had been selected to receive $7,000 in grant money. He said that a number of people were selected each year who were unemployed or underemployed to receive this grant. I was having a difficult time understanding him due to his heavy accent and so asked to speak to someone else. He said that would be no problem and that he would transfer me. The sound cut out and a few seconds later "someone else" picked up the phone, but I'm certain it was the same guy trying to use a different accent, considering that when I insisted he transfer me to a native english speaker he dropped the fake accent, swore at me, and told me I had no issues understanding him at first.
I just received a second call from the same number, but this time it was an asian woman (judging by the accent) and when I asked for a native english speaker she hung up.

I have received 8 calls from this number this week, today is Friday. On Wednesday of this week, they called four times. Obviously the exchange, 098, isint real, for you cant call them back. They are set up on a robo dial system, typical telemarketing type call. I would like to find out who they are, and would like to get a company name and a real phone number....

I got the same call two time won't be answering it again

I received a call from a 2020987114 saying I was selected by the governor for a free 7000 grant and that I have to pay 299 for fees and all this other crap   I just hung up on them

IT'S NOT EVEN A REAL PHONE NUMBER guys...! look at it.  If you were local to it, 0 would dial the operator immediately and all the subsequent numbers are irrelevant.  The operatoe is NOT calling you! Ignore those [***] but then agaij they will just pick another fake number to call people from....  :(
