These people keep calling my phone; they won't talk at times. Other times there is a long pause and they ask for the same person. I've told the woman she has the wrong number and to please stop calling. She replies "whatever" and hangs up. They literally call every 30 minutes. I ask where she is calling from and she won't tell me..rude B! Calls from 202-101-0102.

These are criminals operating out of overseas boiler rooms under the protection of corrupt governments and away from US jurisdiction. They have been programmed not to take "NO" for an answer. Your only recourse is to invest in a call blocking device.

I started getting calls from these people yesterday, they called me over 10 times, when i pick up no one is there and i hang up. Today i picked up and a foreign sounding man picked up, i asked who this was and why they were calling me and he said " i do not want to tell you" and hung up. I looked up to see if it was a scam call and sure enough it appears to be associated with some sort of scam, i was waiting on a call from my doctor all day and them calling all day wasted my time.

When I picked up, there was a connection tone (ringing until the other side picked up, then asked for David, with 202-101-0102 listed. When I asked who this is they hung up. Yesterday looked for David also - same scenario but unlisted number.

Received numerous calls from this number today. Finally decided to answer after getting calls on a Friday night after normal business hours. The guy I spoke with sounded like Borat and kept using my maiden name. He began arguing with me after I told him the individual he was looking for no longer existed since I changed my name many years ago. He then said he was "a federal agent" and that the name he was asking for would know what the call was about. Since I am actually that person, I knew he was full of it. Also told him I couldn't understand his broken English and asked if he was Borat. He hung up and I blocked the number.

A woman speaking broken English asked for me by name and said she was from the United States federal grant program and I was eligible to receive 9000 dollars. Then the call dropped.  Calling back gave invalid number.  Definitely a scam.

Same issue as above. A man called claiming I was chosen by the federal government for a random $9,000 grant, and the call was cut off after a minute or two. Obviously a scam. Any ideas on authorities to report this information to?

This man sounded muslum, saying hes from D.C and worked for the Federal Reserve or something and i was approved for a $9,000 grant to be put into my account. They try an convince you its legit, he even gave me another number to call with a confirmation number so i can claim this "free grant". The weird thing is he had a lot of my info already, (Name, Address etc.) He sounded so convincing untill he said i have to go to CVS and buy a 'Green Dot money Pac' Put $250 dollars on it and give him the card number as a "confirmation" then he would put the 9k into my account. He said its a quick process and he would stay on the line until it went threw. I called my bank and they confirmed that its a bunch of [***]!!

I've had two calls as well, but I haven't picked up. Based on some of the comments, however, I would suggest that people posing as government employees using a DC number is over the top and requires immediate attention from law enforcement. The FTC is inundated with complaints and by the time they get to it, these scammers will have moved on to another phone number. I will answer the next time they call, and if I have a similar experience, I will call my state Senators and file a complaint. They're higher up on the food chain and can get things done quickly. I suggest you all do the same.
