- daveThis call seems to be generated after I used craigslist to post something. I do not put my telephone number in the ad, but state that "Please send me your name and number and I will call you".
This is the first time I answered in an email and sent my number accidently. Please note if you find your are getting calls from this number after issuing your phone number on craigs. - HeathyrThis is a spam number that tried to get personal information for me so they can steal from me. I kindly told them what I thought and that wasn't honest, and the lady with an accent didn't like that I called her out and hung up on me.
- Sam| 1 replyThey have called my number multiple times. Every time I picked up, it was the same lady with the very thick indian (I think) accent. On the fifth day, I actually tried to go with it. They say you have three options:
1) Direct deposit to your personal account
They ask for the account number and routing number (Nope)
2) Electronic Transactions
Couldn't really hear what she said (Super Thick Accent)
3) Check made by a bank
Give basic information (Name, address, etc.)
I went to the third one, since that didn't sound too bad. The lady gave me an Authorization ID and another phone number to call. It was 202-738-1532.
Overall, she was patient with me and tried too hard to keep me on the phone. Her accent was obvious and she tries to cover it up. This is a scam, but I want to see how far I can push their buttons.- Caller: U.S. Government
- taylorThis was a call to notify me that i was to receive a 10,000.00 dollar grant from the US Government. So obvious it is a scam of some sort, but decided to take the ride and see what the punch line was. I was told I could receive my grant to my bank account and asked for my account number or applied to a credit card and needed my credit card numbers. When i told them I had neither they said they would be glad to send it Western Union after I sent them $350.00 processing fee. I actually did laugh out loud. When I tried to redial the number ....... "I'm sorry the number you have dialed is an invalid number"
- JayTotal Scam!!!
