call from the "IRS"  stating i owed back taxes.  the irs never calls you.  told them i had a lawyer and they hung up.

we have received 3 calls within 24 hrs from this number saying they were from the irs and were sending a sheriff to arrest hubby.  has heart issues!!  first call from male voice and could barely understand what he was saying; hubby called back last night and couldn't understand what was being said-i told him it was a scam and to hang up;  today the 2 calls were from females-again could barely understand them but at the end-they laughed as they finished up saying "thank you" -they said same thing-from irs and would be sending sheriff to arrest him.   friend who retired from irs said it was scam and they were looking for money and to hang up.  a warning should be sent so that the elderly or others do not get scammed.

Received a call from a James Olson from the IRS to tell me to get a lawyer for cheating on my H&R prepared income taxes. Phone call was from 202-204-0479 at 11:29 am ET June 18, 2015! When I said my CPA handles my taxes he hung up!

Missed the call, but when I checked the voicemail it is a computer voice telling me to contact them to clear up this "matter"  When I try to call back the phone rings a couple of times, then hangs up.

Received several calls telling me their going to contact sheriff department to arrest me to call them to solve this matter. Found out its a scam. Their Indian or african people that cannot speak english. Had my attorney research the number, its a pay card number that their using to be someone their not.

This same number is now calling claiming to be a law office and that local authorities are going to come and arrested you. This is a complete scam please report this number and save any messages they leave threatening police action to the police. This is a scam

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I went ahead and reported the number, but I highly suspect this number may be operating scams four years from now.

Got a call from phone # 202-204-0479 it was a voice message they left saying I had 24 hours to get back to them or they were going to have the local sheriff come and arrest me. I tried to call the number back and it don't even ring it hangs up right away,, I definitely agree with everyone else it's a scam you could not hardly understand the girl.  I'm going to report the number

Received a call from this number on 6/31/2015. I missed the first few seconds of the call because the voicemail answered it.

It was a computer reading a script. They are going to send the 'cops' to pick me up because I have 4 claims against me. Obviously scripted by an illiterate product of the public school system in Nigeria. Or Washington DC.

Called, gave usual introduction other than the simple "hello" and got hung up.

Automated message saying they are going to send the police if we don't call to clear up this financial matter from the IRS.  These calls continue to come from various numbers and are very disturbing.

Please locate and arrest whoever is generating these scams call as the american people don't need any additional nonsense in our lives.

These thieves are probably in India or Pakistan so they are out of the US law jurisdiction.  Just ignore the calls.  Their threats are meaningless.

Scam.  Automatically blocked: Since I've switched to a cell phone, installed the 'NQ Call Blocker' app—aka 'Call Blocker Free - Blacklist' by NQ Mobile Security—and used its setting to change to only accept calls from phone numbers I want, it is hanging up on 100% of all incoming Unwanted calls.  I go to the app>Main screen>Funnel icon>Blocking mode, change it to>Select "Accept ONLY FROM WHITELIST and CONTACTS".  Add the phone numbers you wish to receive calls from to your Contacts (keep your normal Contacts up-to-date as normal) and/or add non-contacts that you wish to receive a call from to the Whitelist.
