A person calling himself Jim Marshall stated that he was with the IRS investigating unit, and that a warrant had been issued...

Same issue.  The person called saying they have an arrest warrant and passport is on hold at the airport from IRS.

Same call with accent saying arrest warrant being served in 24 hours due to non payment of IRS tax discrepancy of $1150, if not paid in court will have to pay $47700 plus attorney fee. I called IRS and confirmed it is a scam and report to Treasury Inspector General at 1800-366-4484.

Got a call today from 202-204-0482.  Person called himself Mark Black and said that there is an arrest warrant and passport is on hold at the airport from IRS. He is calling from Washington DC.  A similar call was received few months ago  with same voice but different name.  Paid no attention.

Got a call today from 202-204-0482 person called himself Jim Marshall and called himself investing officer with Internal Revenue Service from Washington DC.. Warrant issued against me and my passport is on hold. This is urgent message and asked that I call back.

same call for me, he said his name was Jim something and he was from legal department and my passport was on hold and there was an arrest warrant out for me. this is just a scam. at first it scared me but finally found out that this is just a prank call and they are trying to get some money from people. don't pay no mind to it. it's nothing but a scam.

Got the same call 6-8 hours ago.  Same name. Same message. Gave me a claim number. Asked to call back. Their mailbox was full when I called back.

Got same call today. Person with a name of Mark Black (last name was unclear). Indian accent

I got a call from this number stating that there is an arrest warrant on my name and if I want to settle out of court I can pay $745 and buy 48 to 72 hrs if I do not pay I have to go court and I will loose and will have to pay $85,000. When I agrred to pay $745 that said I go to rite-aid drug store to buy a pre-paid card. Then I knew they were fake. So be aware of these scamming phone calls claiming tobe fro IRS.

Mark Black called me too. He had an accent.

Same call with accent saying arrest warrant being downloaded and served now due to non payment of IRS tax discrepancy of $1970.00 if not paid, in court will have to pay $130,000.00 plus attorney fee. I called my accounting and confirmed it is a scam.

same call with same message, I am surprised this guy has not been stopped yet especially with all the comments posted here.

A man who sounded middle eastern called from this number which showed as Washington DC on the caller ID. He asked for my husband by name and when I said he isn't here, he said he is from the IRS and a warrant has been issued for my husband. I proceeded to tell him he is a fraud and I am reporting his [***] - which I did - to the FTC. He hung up.

Got the same call this morning  from jim marshall, he said he is from the IRS and they work 24/7 I knew he is a fraud and when I told him to contact my lawyer he hung up.
I'll report the number to the FBI, to anyone out there call the FBI office near you to report this a*** h**.

I also received the same call from 202-204-0482 claiming to be Jim Marshal from the IRS. I called the number back but the voice on the msg did not identify himself as from the IRS so I knew it was bogus.

Received a call form a heavily accented Mark Black with the same message as from IRS with passport on hold, etc. I will try to do something about it. It is a scam.

This time it was Alex Smith, an Indian-accented person who left a message on my machine that he was from the IRS of the United States government in Washington DC (Oh, THAT United States government!) , passport was on hold, call back the number, etc.  I did have a laugh about how bogus it sounded.
