They said I had won $9000 and I had to claim the money but the call was short they hung on me when I had asked who it was

Said I won $9000 for a grant. Told me because I hadn't filed for bankruptcy in the last 6 months I could claim it. Asked for personal info, and when I asked where they were, he laughed (disgustingly) and said "In your house".

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

Told me that I could get a grant for 9K and didnt have to pay it back.  He asked me if I wanted to know how and I said "No, please put me on your do not call list".  He then laughed and said that he was only going to put me on the list because I was beautiful and he liked watching me.

Call came immediately after another spam caller (different number). I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. No message left for either call.

Unknown number. Didn't answer the call. No message left. After reading the above comments, I will definately not answer.

Called me and no answer after I said "hello" then a couple seconds later they said "hello"... I responded "yes" they said "no" and hung up on me

08/05/15 @6:02 PM (my local in PA); am on the 'DO NOT CALL LIST' - landline and cellphone - this call came to my cellphone, no indentification -- hung up! Am really tired of getting these calls!

They called family member. Said member won $9000 grant. He said "You're probably wondering why you've won the grant." Family member said "No and I don't want..." then they hung up.

Number called, man with an obvious foreign accent impersonating a government agent. Hung up immediately.

They called on my cell phone but did not leave a message.

caller with strong accent said he was calling on behalf of federal government. said I had been chosen to receive grant of 7K and it would be put in my bank or credit card account within 45 mins..  I told him not to call me again. he said he would call again & again & again until I accepted the grant.  I asked for his name & number or website to research to program. he said he would not tell me anything like that but would call again & again & again.... grrrrrr

As mentioned before it was a caller with a strong accent who told me I had been selected for a grant of 9K. I told him it sounded like a load of BS and hung up on him. He called back right away I did not pick up.

No message left
