This number called tonight. I did not answer. Caller ID said :  CPTL US

Shows up as US GOVERNMENT.
I didn;t answer. Added it to the list of blocked numbers.

keeps calling no message hangs up.  I am on the do not call list.

Received a call from this number at noon.  Caller ID identified it as "CPTL US."  An internet search identified the number as coming from the office of U.S. Senator Pat Toomey.  Since he is our U.S. Senator, it was probably a legitimate call.  But, it was undoubtedly a political call.

Just called a few mins ago. ID says US Government. Didn't answer, I guess it's the scam

Republican Senator Pat Toomey's office. Don't waste my time! When you and your colleagues start working for a living, you may then get the benefit of my time.  Until the I will use the favorite word of you and your out of touch colleagues.  "NO"

Received a call on 12/3/14 at 6:48 pm, didn't answer. A message was left from this number & they said we were being sued by the IRS.  Followed by a phone call saying it was a call from Pat Toomey's office.

Caller ID showed "U S Government".  It left a recorded message from Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey.

It turns out I received two calls from this number, one with caller ID of "2022244254" and the other "U S Government".  Only once did they leave a message, and since I deleted it before realizing I had two calls from the same number this afternoon, I can't figure out which ID left the message.

Why wouldn't my Senator use a caller ID that identified himself?

It was an automated call from Senator Toomey inviting me to participate in a live Town Hall Meeting over the phone. I agreed and participated. It was actually very cool and a way to communicate directly with the Senator.

Oh, blast the political drivel is starting again.
Pat Toomey send me a post card I can pitch. I don't want you to call my house!

I ignored this call.  I see from other posts that it is a call from Senator Pat Toomey's office.  Political and non-profit organizations are exempt from the Do Not Call list. HOWEVER, if you call their offices and say you do not want to be called, they are supposed to take you off their calling lists.

I once "attended" a so-called "live" Town Hall phone call from a political office.  I could not ask questions. It all sounded very staged and fake to me. Not at all useful. Just another way to "get ya."  I felt it was a scam and a waste of my tax dollars.

Yes, Recorded message from Senator Pat Toomey's office and may be broadcast or rebroadcast at any time or something to that effect ... But I think the call should be conducted through his personal tele instead of through US GOVERNMENT lines of communications! I don't want my tax dollars used on this rather expensive public dialing system, preaching GLOOM and DOOM to motivate people to take some action against threats internationally as well as homeland ... We all have enough to do in our spare time and most of us with a personal life, don't have time to listen to all this however, I recorded it on my personal device as I do with everything that might be a threat to me, LOL So tired of getting pesky calls from every Scammer, Tom, Dick and Harry!

At least the answering machine picked up enough to ID it.

Any 'Politicians' should have to pay us to receive their calls.
We shouldn't have to pay for them to advertise. Bad enough we get their 'snail mail'.
I know it is a privilege and a right to vote. But really, get off my private phone.

DNC exempts politicians. And dept collectors, surveys and charity.
Cplt US is the politician using our own tax money to call us.
