Some one call and said my neice was under investigation for fraud

Today my husband received a call from 202-239-0495 for check fraud with case no. 441201.. We haven't had a checking account for the last 18 months,,./. So I would appreciate that they do not contact me at home they can reach us via mail

A lady name Alexa Lucas called from that number telling me that I signed for a pay day loan couple years ago and gave them my bank account online. She said if I don't pay within an hour then I ill have to go jail and someone ill pick me up. I am scared and I dont kno that to do

You CANNOT be arrested for a debt.
Debt is a CIVIL matter, not a CRIMINAL matter.
Go to ftc.gov and read the FDCPA and learn your rights.

Alexa called my niece and mother yelling and threatening.  It's a scam!  Don't pay anything!  She says to send money to a Walmart account, that was her first mistake.  She should be charged with fraud and extorsion.  We have reported to the Arizona sheriff's department for further investigation.

Oh no way! I just a received a call from Alexa Lucas saying that I owed her $600 for a payday loan many many years old!  She almost got me, But thankfully for my son's insistance on checking the internet, I see everyone elses response.... She told me the same thing I was going to be arrested in a few hours and sent me a text from searchbug indicating I was being tracked NCIC FBI investigations. When I tried to ask where she was calling from she got upset with my questions and refused to asnwer

i got a call today from alexa lucas number 202 239 0495 i was not home and it was left as a massage that i am being investagated for a very serious crime and i had to call her back somethinf didnt set right with me so i wanted to look it up and here i found this and i am so glad i have anxity issues and when i got this massage i got really scared and high anxity so thank you every one and hope this helps the next person to no this is nothing but a scam !!!!!!!

I recvd a vm from a Alexa Lucus about someone I dont know. I called the number back and I left her a vm stating that she had the incorrect number and the person she is looking for no longer own this number and to please not call  again. If she calls it again, I will turn her contact info over to the authorities.

Nothing to worry about. Its all a scam.

I just got that same call and she almost got me.I called my police dept. To mak sure this can happen I was told that it is a scam cause we would first get papers from court by mail then if is a no show they send a second letter to let us know about a court again and there is no reason why it would be federal unless is over $1000.00.

So did anyone really get arrested for this????

I received a call from her on my dads home phone saying that they were going to file fraud charges for my business and that I needed to contact her and that is the same name and number. I was freaking out because why would she call my dad on his home phone there is nothing that connects us. There were a lot of things that didnt make sense. So I am glad I came across this and thanks to everyone who actually took the time to post this so others can have peace of mind.

Oh and the worst part is when they say they are calling from Washington so it really sounds legitimate. But they would either come knocking on your door or you would have received a phone call or something in the mail which I received none of the above. It is people like her that take advantage of those who dont know better or dont know how to stand up for themselves and ask many questions.

I received a call from same person,same number, same message..Thanks for posting so i know it is a scam..will turn over to FDIC fraud dept.

I just got a call from her as well. I was at work. She left a message saying I was being investigated for fraud.  I called the number back and left her a message. She called me back and apologized. Said she had misdialed my number by mistake.

I got a call from this lady today.  I called her back, she stated I had one hour to call her back with a payment and if I didn't that I would be arrested today.  I did not call her back and now I got a text message saying that I am being tracked.  Should I be nervous?
