I think it is a scam also

Wife called back, straight to voicemail.  

Calling me about an IRS lawsuit.  I told them to bring it on and the non-English speaking caller on the other line got pissed.

Oh and the number they call from on my caller ID is a Magic Jack number!

This number called 8:15 am,12:27and 2:44, automated caller said they were collecting IRS collections before going to court. Said to call back to keep from going to jail! I am sorry but I do not owe taxes and have no one trying to collect anything. I am reporting to local and state authorities.

Caller I.d. Says. "Washington, DC". 202-239-1653

Stated to call or a lawsuit would be filed in the county

I received 2 of the same messages about a lawsuit being filed in the county.  My scam radar instantly was up!

They identify themselves as the IRS and say there is a suit pending against you.

I got the same call today about a lawsuit in your county. Then gave me another number to call which i did not. Total SCAM. I called the number back and it went to a voice mail which was full - stating Jack Cooper. Total scam.

Complete scam, called the number back, wanted to settle an "old" case out of court and pay the fine..

Same thing - multiple calls from a Washington DC #202-239-1653 with a automated message asking me to call back urgently re: IRS lawsuit. Thanks for the advice - I am reporting the number to their voip provider.
