Looks like a scam.heavy accent.pretend they are from irs.

There is a fairly common IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers in both Canada and the USA.

Said his name was Patrick Rogers and owed money to IRS.  Garbage scam.

Then he told me my mother was a [***] [***] when I called him and asked to not be called anymore.  Haha.

He calls himself as IRS agent.

Claiming to be part of the justice department and that they are "investigating a crime." Asking for contact info including addresses and phone numbers. Sounds like a scamming idiot.

Got a call, claimed he was IRS and if I didn't act he was going to have me arrested.  

Just to let everyone know, this is DEFINITELY a SCAM.  These people are NOT from the IRS or any other US Government entity.  I have alerted one of my friends that is a senior FBI agent and an active case has already been started on them.  If you ever get a call from some claiming to be from the IRS and as soon as you ask them a question they begin cursing you, IT'S A SCAM.  Please call the real IRS, FBI, local police, etc.  They are in violation of 18 USC 912 - impersonating a US official for the purpose of obtaining and item of value (ie money).

This is some coward hiding behind a magicJack device plugged in at some God-forsaken corner of the world where there is Internet service.  He's no better than a common criminal using a magicJack device and your fear the same way a common thief uses a toy pistol hidden in the pocket of his overcoat to make a bulge that looks like a real gun.

This scam has been extensively researched at
http://www.pindropsecurity.com/consumer-fraud ... irs-phone-scam/ and it was found that magicJack numbers are frequently used, and many of the scammers are operating out of India.  There is even an audio recording of a call returned to one of these numbers and a written transcript of the recording contained in links from the Pindrop Security blog.

MagicJacks are readily obtainable outside of the United States for about $100 US and can come with up to a year of free calling to the U.S. and Canada.  In India, see, for example,

In addition to the regular reporting channels, e.g., the Department of the Treasury, the FTC, and/or your local state attorney general's office, you might also report the abuse to YMAX Corp.  I have seen reports that they are pretty good at responding to complaints and may be able to permanently shut off a magicJack device, if necessary, so that it can never be used again.

I received a call from this number and they said I'm being sued by the irs , to call them back.

Got a call from this # (automated) staying it was the IRS and I needed to call back immediately. I've gotten these scam phone calls in the past but I must say it has been awhile. So I decided to call back to tell them to remove my # from their list. Boy did I get a disgusting earful. The guy told me that there were steps to take to get my number removed. I said okay what are the steps. He then told me he would have to #@%$ me in my @$$. He politely asked me to pull down my pants, then my panties, then to make some noises like I was enjoying myself and it went on from there. I was violated over the phone!!!!!!

Unfortunately that's a risk you take and a price you pay when you're returning calls to unknown numbers. No kind of answer from your end means the caller's unable to leave threats or anything. With such threats as these, you should know it's a scam and refrain from returning calls. The IRS is not in the practice of randomly calling folks and handing out threats.
