Message left on phone by a guy with an indian accent "Jared Williams" claiming to be from IRS and threatening legal action.

Somebody claiming from IRS called and saying we owe 20K and saying there is a arrest warrant. His name was Sean something. I called IRS , they said its not their number

got a call from a 'sean met'  - accused of defrauding the irs out of 4k and threatened with an arrest.  

Got a call from this number ,,same thing indian sounding,,,with threat

Got a call today Indian sounding guy.  

Got a message two days in a row from the so called IRS from a thickly foreign accented Shawn Mac claiming we owe to the IRS or there are consequences.

Got called today, again, same Indian guy, threatening on the name of the IRS..... called back late in eve and got a recording, IT IS A FAKE IRS calls, REPORT it as a spam....

I am of Indian origin (born in Illinois) but this guy couldn't say my name properly - probably not Indian - but definitely foreign accent.  Said his name was David Williams.

Clearly BS. Didn't bother calling him back.

Reported him to the FBI.

Same message as the rest but parts of the message appear to be garbled on purpose, as the voice itself was clear.  We just checked out this site then erased the message.

Called and trying to ask for personal info. Threatened arrest for outstanding IRS bills.

I got the call from this number 202-239-7019 . he said he is from DC office of IRS.  Asked for my husband by his name ... in a very assertive tone. Said something like criminal investigation and legal info ...mumble
I am going to call DC 's IRS office...

Received call from some Indian guy saying I owe IRS $4200 and have an arrest warrent issued and case being uploaded to Criminal tax court ..blah blah...told him to go ahead and do what ever he needs to since this is all horse [***]!

Yawn... Another guy in his mother's basement who bought a magicJack, asked for an official-looking number in the 202 area code, and claims to be an IRS agent until his magicJack special 6 month free phone service offer runs out.  Then he has to beg money from his mother to buy another one.

I received a call from this number and he harassed me over the phone and he said he would send Sherif to my home to arrest me. When I asked for his website he said www.irs.com and when I continued to ask him details he hung up the phone. The name he give was Brandon Jones and give ID was 01786. He wanted me to pay $190 for holding the case and another $4200 to local IRS office, to a very specific person.

Later, when I talked to my friends, I fond out that he called his home 3 times already and heard many people are getting calls from this number.

True...Like a guy from India...

I received a call from David Williams too.  He was on phone for over 15 minutes.  How do I report him to the FBI?
Now I am wondering if I could have ID theft. He refused to give me a case number, I told him that I need the case number to report to the cops and I will not pay him anything until I get something in writing.

I got a call from this number from. Guy named Brandon Jones.  I hung up on his ass.  Couldn't even speak English correctly!

Got similar message as all of you -- I had called the IRS and reported the incidence.  The IRS agent outlined the process in the event there was a case against a person -- nothing like what these clowns do.  Really annoyed.

Got a call asking for my husband. I asked if it was a telemarketing call. The man, who didn't identify himself, said, "This is the IRS." I asked, "Regarding what?"  then he hung up.
Obviously a scam, trying to report to the IRS scam line.
