They called me from this phone, saying that they are IRS.  Investigating my identity.  He sounded as he was from India and he was unprofessional, so I knew they were not IRS people.  Furthermore, why would the investigate my identity. They even have a recording machine with a message that you are calling to IRS.

Just got a call from this nber and they left a message.  When I called back it sounded like I was calling a call center in India. What a scam.  They can come and kiss my $&#!

They left the message saying that he is officer John Parker from IRS. What a scam, left message through machine voice.

Called me today stating that they are doing an investigation. All with indian accents. I asked for a case number to which they told me I would be arrested lol

They called me twice quoting that I have fines payable under IRS Act of ..... The calls clearly were from overseas. The guy who called quoted him as Mr. Tony and passed on to his friend who called him as "Mr. Bob". What as as#$#. I told him I was a CPA and an attorney and as soon as he heard that, he said, we will put you no callers listing  ??? &#$
a) You call me to tell me that I have dues under IRS; and b) You follow-up by saying we will put you in "No Callers" listing. Absurd....

I received calls from this phone and he said he was from IRS Washington DC and He had a lot to tell about my problem with irs. I said it was scam and don't call me but he kept calling again and again. I wonder if there is any authority to control such scammers and book them to the prison?

Hahaah, I told him, hold on one second, let me get my old man, who is 80 years old, and then I got on the phone and told him to kiss my bootty. he is from India, and I don't fall for scammers, what a bunch of scammers.

This guy has called and left 3 messages saying we were being investigated by the IRS.  He went on to say that they will begin legal action against us if we don't return the call.  Can someone please arrest this jerk?!?!  I can only imagine how many people have fallen for this and been ripped off of their hard earned money.

Fake IRS calls. Please put them behind bars.

This person called and said I owed $998.23 and if I didn't pay I would be arrested. The man had an Indian accent and said he would turn me in to the FBI.

Hey all, I got the same call 3 time....Indian scam artists.   I'm wondering how they got my cell # though?     My theory is that when I called Vonage tech support with my cell #, an Indian guy assisted me.  He butchered my name, but I didn't care.   The last 3 scam calls all mispronounced my name exactly like the tech guy did.   Is it possible that the tech guy gave my info to his contacts in India?     Anyone else contact Vonage a day or two before getting the scam calls?

Can't arrest them.  They are located in India and beyond the reach of US laws.

If you've filled out any kind of on-line application for anything or given out personal data over the phone or e-mail, chances are some information broker in India got ahold of it and re-sold it to the scammers.   There's a grey market for personal information and the scammers in India grab the market.

You can expect more scam calls in the future from an endless variety of spoofed numbers.  They call you once, they sure gonna call you again!

Invest in a call blocker.

Got two voice messages from this number 202-241-6131. Again voice mail said the same IRS bla bla message.  Like everybody else reporting here so that others know it is a fake/scammers call.

Received a call few time from 202-241-6131 they said they are from IRS.  Fraud call from India data center  guy trying to tell an American name when from his voice I can tell he is from India.  ON the phone it showed up and Washington DC #.  IP phone have this ability to show what ever you want on other people phone ID.

Few years ago 2 Indian data centers are involved in fraud, after they rip off 15 Million from Senior American US intelligence agency involved in the investigation and few people are rested in USA from that country too and also india government start the investigation with the help of USA team.

I t looks like now they started new fraud. Hope they will be rested soon too.

I got call from them telling own $1700 from 2011 tax and I need to $300 right away rest can be written off and he told his name is Michel  and gave his number as 34-722-7352  to know more details I need to talk to federal and he gave me federal  number as 202-241-6131
First thing IRS will have toll free number starting with 1800 and he was calling with blocked number IRS need not do that that always sent 3 notices if you don't respond they will take the money off your account. They would never ask to give your account details. Face call please beware and when I started telling I will call my tax person and find out then he hanged up and when i tried to call back no one was picking
and morning I got another block call telling ur loan is approved for which I didn't apply at all for 3000 dollar. IN such case never gibe your SSN.

I received a phone call from this number 202-2416-131 today 6/24/2014. They scare me with all about sending me to the court if i don't pay today. I paid 500.00 with the card 'money pack' today. Is there any way to get the money back?

Yes, Got a call from this number, just sounded totally fake and tried to sound like American. Told me IRS sent me notices which I never received and told me if you want out of court or settlement thru court. If I do want to talk further call will be recorded and may be used against, I guess wanted to extract identify information...first they had called my wife too...they need to be captured...

Yes, I received a harassing and annoying call from 202-241-6131 telling me that fees and charges will commence by the IRS if I don't call back immediately.  They purported to represent the IRS office. Yeah ok.
