Called 9/12, left a message.  First part of the message was cut off, but the second part said "I repeat 202-506-8210, don't disregard this message before we take any legal actions against you."  Called spoke clear English but with an Indian accent.

Yes, that's not a typo: they called from one number, but requested I call back to another.  I'm not calling back: regardless of who they are, they can speak to my attorney if they want to take 'legal action'.

Got call about the same time today. Scratched my head that somebody from out of state is calling because of legal action and leaving a message. My phone didn't even ring or any missed call. Just a voicemail all of a sudden. Sounds like a scam.

Have gotten several of these in the past few days. First part of message where they state who they are calling for is garbled ( I believe it is on purpose) and then very clearly ( woman with Indian accent ) states legal actions and lawyers. It also says to " Do not ignore this message, contact lawyer today." Definitely a scam of some sort. Sadly, some people will fall for this. Thank you for this site so we can expose these thieves!!

Heard about a scam similar to this by local police awhile back. I had never received a call until today. Same as all other complaints here. Could not make out first part than have a lawyer call or something. All I know if it were the gov. they would not cal with intimidation. I did not call back and if I get another I will report to the do not call agency....

Same deal. Injun female threatening "action against me" if I don't return the call. Like all of them I just delete it.

I got the same message as everyone. I called the number and the voice mail message was unclear.  It said something about a president and then another voice spoke over the main voice saying voice mail is full can not leave a message.

Hi.  I got this strange message.  I called back on both numbers - the one on caller id and the one left on voice mail as a callback number.  The first number was a message w/an odd outgoing message (somewhat unclear and difficult to identify the company, organization, etc) and then mailbox was full so no message could be left in return.  The number left as a callback number, listed stated the name Christensen (sp?) and said mentioned the word "political."  This is clearly a scam.  I rec'd this call this morning, 9/12/14 and did not see the voice mail until this evening.  Strange. Very strange.

Got this scam call on 9/13 at 9:30 am and ignored it.

Why did the police not catch these people yet?

Got a call at 202-241-8210 and they left a VM asking me to call 202-506-8210. The Caller was speaking clear English and spoke with an Indian/Pakistani accent. I called them and they got cut, they also used the number 408-506-8210 for calling me back. The 202-241-8210 and 202-506-8210 are numbers registered with YMax Communication and are essentially numbers provided by Magic Jack.

My only worry is that if these calls are originating from that region, it could very well be possible that the money that they collect thru this fraud could be used for funding illegal activities all around the world

The police cannot catch them because the are located in either India or Pakistan.   Call blocker is your best bet.  Also do not pick up on calls you do not recognize.

I just received same message. Go ahead sue me, hard to squeeze money from where there is none!

Sounds like a SCAM!!  2nd call from this number in 3 weeks.  Number from Washington DC area.  This time said from "Officer Judy Smith" with a strong Indian/Pakistani accent??? Said call back or legal action may be taken in forceful language then only to end with "take care".  I don't think IRS would end message with "take care" and solicit $$ by phone call through law enforcement. Read IRS website that warns scams like this. IRS doesn't call. They send direct letter via mail.  

Lady with strong accent saying something about legal action and to take care.  Same about ID with Washington DC.

Received call from 2025068210 claiming that they are IRS asking for money for payment. This number is bogus and they scammers.

I just received the same call as stated in the comments...indian sounding accent tell me to call back before they take legal action against me...I will not be returning their call, this is for sure some type of scam!
