some guy asking for the IT manager.  this was his fourth call to the company so he's done.

Same here rang them back then they trasnfered me to a dead line, but prior to that the girl who answered said they were a Internet Service Provider

Phone was ringing, saw this number with "Cogent Communications" on the ID so I let it go.  No message left, but their web site shows them as a network service provider.  Typical sales call I'm sure, not horrable, but not worth my time either.

Polite solicitor...they're learning.  Trying to get past me to speak to my VP of IT.  No way buddy, but thank you for being polite.

Cogent is a tier1 internet service provider.  So are we pal, so are we.  You might want to vet your cold-call list a bit more thoroughly next time.

Cogent isn't just a communications company, they do corporate ID checks, fingerprinting and background scanning. I got a call from this number regarding questions I had about a refund. The said refund appears to already have been done though so I'm not calling back.
