This was "Amanda", a very pleasant robot voice claiming to be from "Home Protection", making an illegal call in violation of the National Do-Not-Call Registry. "She" was looking for homes to receive a free security system, but the line went dead in the middle of "her" spiel. Darn shame - I LOVE when these folks call. In the past I've had them on the line for 30 or more minutes, asking softball questions about their systems, and, best of all, setting up an appointment for an installation. When an installer comes, I hand them a copy of the NDNCR to give to their superiors, reminding them that they are working for a company that is violating the law with their sales practices, and suggesting that they might do better working for a more stable, law-abiding company. Sometimes you just gotta' fix things yourself...

POS calls me 15+ times a day.  WTF is the point of the FTC when they do nothing to stop this.  Fake Robo calls.

This number keeps robo calling me.  I want it to stop and can't call back to demand they put me on a no call list.

I been getting this call 3 to 4 times a day. A alarm company. I would like them to stop when you call the number it say this is spam.

ROBOT CALL _ "This is Amanda...how are you today...we are looking for someone in your area to advertise our security system...would like a free home security system installed today..."

Same thing as everyone else. These clowns call me every two hours every day and it's driving me up the wall.

I've gotten several calls from this number, but never answered it. From what I'm seeing here I'm glad I didn't.

I trolled one of their employees when they called and he asked if I said I [***] my mom's [***]. He calls me everyday and just sits there on the phone.

Got half a dozen calls from this number earlier today while I was at work.  Finally received a call around 5PM that I was able to answer.

I played along and provided fake information, hoping they'd realize that their calling me is just a waste of time, and put me on some do-not-call list.  Once the employee figured out that I had faked him, he got incredibly nasty.  He randomly asked how long I could handle him f***ing me in bed.  He proceeded to call me a "mother f***er over" and over again.  Very gross and disturbing.

Thanks to everyone who posted!  Please try to keep the anger down a notch though. It won't do any good here. They called IDNA. No msg as usual with this type of call.

I did not answer this call, but when I attempted to call back the voice mailbox message said, "This is no good, it's spam."

Exact thing i just did... I heard the message as well.

Amanda, a computer voice calling from "National Home Security," trying to find victims who want a "free" home security system. "Rachel Krasnow" and Washington DC on CID. AQmanda dropped call before I could learn more about who's behind the call.

My CID showed "Rachel Krasnow," sounds like the spammer is changing the surname.

Called twice today. Both calls were silence with a robo "goodbye" when I asked if they were going to talk to me.

This person called.  Didn't answer.  No message.  To anyone wondering how to block this person on their cell phone, may I make a suggestion?  Do what I did.  Create a contact by the name of "Spam".  Assign the number to "Spam".  Go into Security settings and block "Spam".  Your phone won't ring and any messages they leave are delivered straight to the trash can.

I get several types of these calls each week.  While annoying, especially since I'm legitimately on the DNC list, these people either ignore the list or are calling from outside the US.  Caller ID can be faked.  Any way, the point of the matter is life is too short to get that pissed at 'em.  Do what you can to block them.  I must have 20 different phone numbers associated to "Spam" now.  I keep adding them as they keep calling.   It's an inconvenience, sure, but a tolerable one.

Same for me but it was that cash advance for your business scam calls. I get this call and a similar phone number labelled DO NOT USE.

This came to my cell phone, which makes me very happy. RULE 1, I NEVER buy anything solicited. So keep it up, keep calling you jerks.I don't publish my number and gets several calls a week from bogus business loans to this crap. Thanks, ATT
