They have called me several times about how I have credit card debt, when I spoke to someone, all they did was hang up, if they do call again, I will let them know that the next time they call I will be reporting them to the agency!

stop calling me. It is a call about credit. When I pressed one to get an operator as the recording said to tell them to remove my number or to yell, the call disconnected. this happen seveeral times a week and I am on the No Call LIst.

Usual robocall with an "important message" about my credit card rates.  At that point I hung up.

Have gotten 2 of these "important calls about my credit card" in the last 3 hours.  When I pushed 1 and started to explain what I wanted, I too, was hung up on.

-  new  twist  is  they  are   also  impersonating  DEA  officials   with  threats  to  arrest you  unless  you  immediately  send money  via  wire   transfer /  western  union   to some   offshore  country  !!!!!   obvious  scam  !!!

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers  in  INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  you  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams

Same old phoney calls, just different days! Recording that starts out "this is a call about your credit card"

All it is is annoying to all of us people who work for a living. It's insanity at its worst!
I don't even answer the phone anymore! It has to be a number I know.

Too bad our phone companies can't come up with a way to help us out on this. We certainly pay enough each month for calls from mostly thieves.
Even our own phone companies don't care what we consumers have to put up with as long as they get their payments.
Well, one of these days I am going to have the home phone disconnected because I won't need it as I will just use one of those cheap phones from the store and change numbers so the crooks get screwed at their own game.

I was robo-called by this number with an offer to reduce my credit card interest rate before the stimulus expires.  I pressed "1" to talk to a human - and waited over 4 minutes before a human answered.  She gave the the spiel about reducing my interest rate, and asked if my current credit card debt was $5,000 or more.  I said, before I answer that question - can you explain to me why I am receiving this call and what the stimulus is b/c I've not heard of it.  She gave me the exact same explanation, which was not an answer to my question.  I said, can you pls put me on your do not call list - and the phone abruptly hung up.  My caller ID only has wireless caller as the "who" with this number.  She was in a noisy room, so either other calls are being made or they are fabricating background noise so we are fooled into thinking it is an actual call center.

You can block these calls - call your phone provider to find out how.  It's worth the time you invest.  Just write down the directions, so you don't forget.  AT&T U-Verse subscribers, with phone service, can manage the options from logging into your account.  This number won't reach me again!!!!!!

got the call this morning. Pulled out my whistle. Pressed 1, waited for the person to get on the line. then I blasted their ear drums out!! Best investment I've made, keep a whistle handy so that when they call, you can give them an ear full. Then see how fast they don't call again. They must have a way of telling which rep got your call and they will remove your number or get an ear ache every time they call.

They call from various numbers across the United States. Blocking the numbers is absolutely useless. I started keeping tack in late 2011 and I have over 40 numbers.

Its a scam. They get your number from the do not call list and various other entities. All they want is your credit card and personal information. Basically just theft. Pressing any number to be taking off the list or asking to stop is useless. The numbers are spoofed and faked, when you press one to be taking off the list it does nothing. When you press any number to be connected to a respresentative all it does it route you to a call center.

Telephone scams are on the rise. They stay in business becuase for some dumb reason beyond comprehension, people fall prey and once they get dooped, Cha Ching. It keeps them in business. Just report and warn.

I get calls from this number, sometimes several a day, about credit card debt.  I do not even have a credit card.  I have tried pressing 1 many times to let them know to take me off their list only to be hung up on.  If I can get the name of the company I will certainly report them.
