Trying to find out who this is too. Called 3 days in a row now

Also received one call a day for 3 days in a row from this number. I say "hello this is AP" and no one on the line says anything. I just hear background noise like a TV or people talking amongst themselves. This is annoying and will stop answering now that others are reporting calls from this number.

I get calls to my cell (which is on the Do Not Call List) at all hours of the day from this number constantly, even on weekends. When I call back I get a message that says it is a company called Landmark, a telemarketing firm that specializes in fundraising, surveys, debt collections, direct sales and some other "services" that I can't recall. It tells you that if you want to be removed, leave a message saying so along with your phone number and that they can't remove you if you don't leave your number. I did so a few times, but it hasn't stopped yet. I plan on reporting them to the Do Not Call List and hope that will fix it.

This "company" is starting to drive me nuts. If anyone knows how to actually make them stop calling, please share.

IS this The Washington Post as someone above suggests?  I get calls from this number fairly frequently any more and have recently cancelled the Post after nearly forty years as a subscriber, so I am wondering if it could be them but they never leave a message.  If anyone knows who it is, I'd sure like to know.

After reading your comment, I am pretty sure it is the Washington Post.  I, too, cancelled my subscription after 20+ years.  I got calls back in December from a similar number (202-367-9932) for about 5 days and then a message from a different number about a special the Post was offering.  Didn't think the two were connected at the time.  Now, starting last week, calls from this number.  Decided to google the actual number and found this messageboard.  It really is annoying.....no messages left....what's the point of the calls???
