Voicemail claiming to be IRS.
"Transcript: Final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. to get more information about this case file please call immediately on our department number 202-386-0929 I repeat 202-386-0929 Thank you."
Just amazing that someone can get away with this scam. Terrorists and spies should use spam callers to send code messages as the government apparently pays no attention to them...

Called back to find out what is going on because it was a partial message...got someone with an activity and could tell it was a call center by the background noise.  They asked if I was calling from a cell # or home phone and then asked me to verify my address before the call was disconnected.

I received the same automated call about 15 mins ago.  I knew it was a scam because it is unlikely the IRS will ever call.  I ignored it and came to this web site instead.  I'm just hoping some elder citizen doesn't fall for their crap

Received a call from this telephone number on 19 Jan 2016 @09:24 am. This is a crank call, one of the most malicious ones.

Same here. Feels like a total scam looking to trap home phone numbers in a DB.

IRA scam - beware

I received a phone call from this number this morning. When I returned the call it was obvious that it was a scam,.  Please do what is necessary to shut these people down before they do someone damage

Same stuff.  Different day.  You know they are scamming you when they don't allow you to ask many questions.  The IRS doesn't call you.  They also don't call you without sending lots of information first.
