I got a call from this number around midnite CST. Called them back but have not spoken to a human yet. Unsure of the intent of the call. I was asleep and vaguely remember it was a recording of some sort.

Just spoke with someone from Lewis Law Firm and the stated that there is a credit card scam using their number. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION if you receive this call. Seems that the calls are targeting TX and OK.

Called at 1:40 EST to VA cell number. Did not answer, no message left.

Called 4:35p est to VA cell number as well.  did not answer, no message.

Sun Trust scam here as well

Got an unknown call from this number 6/12/10 at 5:56 p.m. Didn't answer, no message. After reading this, I'm glad I didn't bother picking up.

Just got a call from that number saying they were a credit union and that my atm card was cancelled.  They asked me to press "1" to have it reactivated.  I imagine if I had stayed on the line it would have asked me to input some numbers.

I just got a missed call from this number too.  No message left.  My phone ID'd it as a Washington DC number, and when I called it back I too got the "Lewis Law Firm".

Received unsolicited call from 202-408-0655 indicating my bank card had been "suspended".  Obviously a scam call.

my phone and my sons phone both got called today. 10:30 and another at 11:58!  scamming south Dakota now too!!!!

same phone call in central illinois about activating a deactivated card.

got a call this am - June 15, 2010 - in SD, too. that is why I don't answer #'s I don't know or am not expecting.

I wonder, fellow South Dakota person, did you just put your telephone # called on a US census form or application. I just applied for a census job and this washington DC phone # calls me on the # I listed on the application.

Got the same message in Central Illinois - my debit card had been (something - could not make it out) then it asked me to press 1 to reactivate it.

Surely a scam so I deleted the message.

I was able to get someone at the law firm on the phone and talk with me.  They claim that they were transitioning their technology and their phone system was hacked and now the hacker is using their phone system to send out telephone phishing calls, under their caller-id.  very sad.
