Got a call from this number and the female caller said she worked for the government and I told her that I could barely hear her and her response was " What is wrong with you people" and she hung up on me so I called the number back and it said it was a non working number.

Caller has an accent, says they work for the government and they have a $9000 grant. Want us to stay on the line to verify account info. When we told them to send some information in the mail they claim that is not the process we need to follow. Female caller has used profanity. We told them to remove our number from their call list.

My entire family (all married and living elsewhere) along with the two of us received calls from the same number within 2 hours of each other!  That is 6 people! No message left for any of them.

Received this call while I was eating lunch.  Gave me heartburn.  What a rip!!!

Called me at 1:57 today and it it was out of Washington D.C.! I never answer call from numbers that I don't recognize. The next time I just might answer and call them out on their scam!  You hassle me I'll give it right back....if I answer the scam call that is!

A call to my cell phone from "The Government Grants Department." The gov't apparently has $9000 waiting for me that I never have to pay back and don't have to pay taxes on. *click*

wtf??? I don't have time to spend on scam calls, they call me about 40 min ago, but I miss the call, trying to call back and no phone service. Como joden esta gente con estas llamadas de [***]. Váyanse a la concha su mare.

Got a call today from this number and when I answered silence on the line.  I tried to call back and no answer. I am pretty sure they called my cell phone before and with the same message about a government grant. It comes up as from the DC, USA area.

Received the call on my mobile at 12:13 EST. Did not answer as I didn't recognize number...no message was left.

Received call from this number at 4:40pm eastern time. They called my cell phone. No message left.

They called my cell - same # (202-410-2644) from Washington, DC

Just called my cell phone, male caller said he was calling from Washington DC, credit department, I asked him where did he get my number and why was he calling me, just hung up on me.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone - male caller with an Asian accent, claiming to be with the federal government and that I have been selected to receive a federal grant ($9,000 or $90,000 - I'm not sure). I stopped him and said that is total bullsh**t and the reason I know this is that I am a grant writer (TRUE) and the federal government does not call people to give them money. Told him that what he is doing is illegal and I am reporting this call.

I got the same call about 5 min. ago. $9000 grant money. I was chosen because I have a good reputation with the government and no criminal record. I asked where this grant office that she claimed to be calling from was located, she hung up. I called the number back and got a Verizon recording that this was an invalid non-working number.
I have had this same call several times and my son just got the same call 2 min. ago.

What do we have to do to stop crap like this?

I got a call from this number and she hung up when I said I could not hear her. I know 2 other people who got the same call and it was a woman with a bad connection talking about the government as well.

just got a cell phone call from this number, noisy background south Asian / India accent,   same stuff  a government grant of $9,000 blah blah blah,  so and knowing this was a scam, I asked her Ok then who are you calling?  What is my name?  Gee if you can't tell me my name and you are the government trying to give me money I would think you should know my name!  Told her to go scam someone one else and she hung up.

Got the same call today (US Govt, $9000 grant, etc). Told them immediately to remove this number (my work cell) from their lists...she yelled back "send us money and we will". I hung up.

They called me saying I was granted $9000.00 I was b
