Some guy speaking broken English saying he is Jones and he wanted to make a deal with me. Wanted information from me, Then I hung up. Got to be a SCAM

Keep getting calls from some guy who barely speaks English saying he's from the IRS.  Don't know if this was one of them because I don't answer any unknown numbers anymore.  Have reported the calls to the IRS but no help yet.

Got a call from this number.  Could hardly understand him.  Said he was calling from the "US Federal" something or other.  I told him I couldn't understand him and he said he'd call back later.  Called my cell.  Irritating.  Sounds like a telemarketer / scam call.

I got the same call. He claimed to be from the US Federal Government Grant Department wanting to give me $9000.00 because I had not committed a crime or filed bankruptcy . He was so gracious to say that within 45 minutes he could have than money either in my bank account or on my credit card. How generous of the government. At which point I told him there was no way I would release that information. He told me I better be careful about my tone because I was speaking with a representative of the federal gov't. When I reinforced that I would not be giving him the information but would rather be reporting his phone number, I got the wonderful title, you B...........

Woman with broken English and Oriental accent called to inform me that the US Federal Government and IRS Grant Department wanting to give me $9000.00! She was so gracious to say that within hours they could have this money in either our bank account or credited to a valid debt or credit card. She just needed some personal information.  I asked again, hello who are you with?  She then sounded upset and said we're calling you and quickly hung up.  It clearly appears to be a phishing scam to try and get your personal information and steal your hard earned money from your personal accounts.  It's a crime that they're identifying themselves as a part or representative of our US Federal Government!  This number in also unavailable for calling another clear sign of a scam!

Ok so I also recieved a call just a few moments ago from a male speaking broken English stating he was with the us goverment grants office and because I was a good little girl I was to receive 9000.00 whoo hoo then I let him speak his little speak a few minutes longer until this guy decided to ask me for my bank account number and routing number... yeah this guy had balls and let me tell you it was great when I asked him how about I give you 9000.00 dollars cus your in such a hard predicament that you need to scam people out of their hard earned money and then proceeded to ask him for his bank account. I dont think I have ever had a scammer hand up on me...

This was perhaps the funniest telemarketing call I have received to date. A man with an extremely heavy indian accent said, "Hello, I am from the U.S. Federal Government.... Ok?" He seriously said "ok??" Like "do you believe me?? My only response was the laghter that I could not contain. Then he mocked my laughing and hung up on me! The federal government is so mean!

I got a call from this number, but they hung up before I could answer.  I then looked the number up on the internet and found that it is a number from which people are receiving scam calls.

So I got a few calls on my cell never picked up and then this morning I got one on my house phone? A male with a very heavy accent said he was calling from Washington D.C. and wanted to give me 9000.00. I asked to him repeat who he was and then I said I'm not interested and he said "NO NO You don't understand" I said how about you learn proper English and don't call again. I immediately Hung Up. He called right back just to call me a B**** and I started laughing in his ear he Hung up. Wow really!  Total Scam, they sure are trying hard this year. I got a call a few weeks ago from 208-514-1661 same thing minus the Washington D.C. and that time before he hung up he said F*** You. I hope people aren't dumb enough to give these cockroaches there personal info.

Female with broken English just called & told me she was calling to let me know I had been awarded a grant from the US Federal Government, she then said "you may be wondering why you have been selected to receive this grant" & I responded: "No, I'm wondering what country you are calling me from"...she hung up immediately LOL! Needless to say, I blocked the number.

No response after saying hello 3 times. Could here sound on the other end of the line then call was ended. Combined with other very recent reports it is either scam or telemarketer

I got a call from this number today and the woman proceeded to tell me about a $9000 grant that I was approved for and didn't ever have to repay it. I asked how she got my number (as I am on the do not call list) and she hung up on me real quick. computer info says the call originated from Washington DC.
These people have to be idiots, really, I hope nobody falls for their BS.  

showed up as missed call on my wife's work cell tonight.  we always check numbers that we don't recognize to see if they're legit, and this one is another in a long list of scammers.  lol, what a bunch of losers.  oh well, welcome to our brand new even smaller electronic small world where nigeria, china, india etc can reach out and touch whoever they want.  just hope nobody falls for their crap.  hello, my name is steve rogers.  really!  i've always wanted to talk to captain america!   click.   lol

Got the same call from 202-411-2583. Offered me $9000 in free grants. I told him to take my number of his calling list, and he retorted "do you know how much money it costs me to take you off the list" .... at which point I hung up. If I had not been at work, I would have yanked his chain some more and had a little fun in the process. There's no way I was going to provide him with any detail. What an idiot!

they called me and the 9K drama went down as well. They asked me for a card number and told me to drive to a western union store and place 250 dollars in my card that way they could place the 9K. Really?! your an idiot!
